What I Eat For Dinner At The Moment!

00:00:00

I’ve decided to change things up this month lovelies! Instead of doing a food and drink finds piece, I thought I would share an update on my dinners that I enjoy during the week! It’s very random and very much out there! However, I am very much all about eating what you want when you want! It’s time to dish up dinner with me!

Good Morning Lovelies,

I was very much brought up to enjoy my food, however, due to my eating disorder, it has been very hard for me to enjoy what I once did. There so, I have very much come to live with the happiness of just having what I enjoy, no matter if it seems a little bit odd to others.

At the moment, I am in a huge love affair for vegetables with lots of thick gravy. Yet, I also love a sweet dish too! I truly think that you should just have what you fancy and so, I thought I would share my odd and out there dinners recently.

They definitely don’t look like the classic dishes that many families or individuals have each night, however, I can’t recommend the following enough. Dish up dinner with me…

Monday - Bulgur Wheat, A Sliced Apple, Blueberries and Multigrain Bites, Topped With Apricot Conserve: Starting the week on a sweet note always ensures a good one. The mixture of the grains with the fruit work perfectly together. I like to pop their dish in the microwave to turn the jam into a sticky glaze on top lovelies.

Tuesday - A Plain Bagel, Runny Honey, An Apple, Blueberries, Topped With A Mini Chocolate and Cookie Crisp Cereal: If you put runny warmed up honey on a plain bagel, it takes just like a glazed donut lovelies. I like to add the honey as a glaze onto the fruit too and warm it all up to give the best tastes possible. I have the cereal on the side, a bit like a desert.

Wednesday - Gnocchi with Baby Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower and Peas, Toped With Gravy: The thicker the gravy the better! Whilst many people will have a tomato or pesto sauce on top of their gnocchi, I love the way the gravy enhances it. I like my gravy super thick, as my autism struggles with super runny foods.

Thursday - A Jacket Potato with Cauliflower, Broccoli, Baby Carrots and Peas With Low Salt Bisto Gravy: This is the best dish! Whilst I will always agree with people that beans on a jacket is great, I’ve found a new favourite in the form of thick gravy and vegetables. It is like having one giant roast potato on your plate!

Friday - Bulgur Wheat, A Sliced Apple, Blueberries and Multigrain Dino Bites, Topped With Aldi’s Apricot Conserve: Those little dinosaur bites are addictive. Ending the week how I started it makes me very happy! Plus, I oddly find this meal quite light, which makes my tummy very happy too.

Saturday - Flavahan’s Jumbo Oats with Water, Drizzled in Rowse’s Dark Honey and Topped With A Mini Chocolate: Who says that you can’t have breakfast for dinner? I like to make my oats as thick as flapjack. I then top it with honey, the mini chocolate and warm it up until a caramel like crust forms on top. It’s so delightful to enjoy and makes me very happy when eating it.

Sunday: A Jacket Potato with Cauliflower, Broccoli, Baby Carrots and Peas With Low Salt Bisto Gravy: It’s one of my favourites, so I adore eating this on a Sunday too, when it feels a bit like I am taking part in a Sunday roast dinner. It’s all about the gravy lovelies! It’s all about the gravy!

I do try to fit in other fruits and vegetables during the day lovelies, so I can get my nutrients in. I also take vitamins on top of this to build up my health! These meals are what I am enjoying at the moment, yet, when I feel like I maybe able to change them up, I do!

As someone with an ED, I have safe foods and if you are like me then I am fully here to say that that is okay. It’s those foods that make it easier to feel safe to try new ones. Please don’t compare what I or others eat, just enjoy what you can and do!

What meals have you been enjoying lately lovelies? Cornflakes for dinner? A steak with chips? Whatever it may be, I hope you enjoy every single bit of it!
