As we embark on the third day of our St Patrick’s Day week on the blog, I think it is time we explore how to celebrate best if you can’t make it over to the best country in the world! From hearty homemade Irish focused dishes to a karaoke session with a difference, you will definitely be feeling all those Irish party vibes!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Sadly, I am having to wait a few more months to get over to the emerald island, however, with St Patrick’s Day just around the corner, I am bring Ireland into my home instead. Whether it be making a delicious Irish dish to coating my home entirely in green, there will be celebrations galore going on in the Tamburello house!

Today, I thought it would be a bit fun to share unusual ways that you can celebrate St Patrick’s Day at home. Get ready to party hard with these fun ideas that are suitable for the whole family…

A Shamrock Singalong: Find all the best Irish songs and singers and add them all to a playlist. Then gather your nearest and dearest and song until your heart is content. I’m definitely going to be playing Tell Me Ma, whilst I know for a fact my mum will breakout those Westlife and Boyzone classics. You could even have an Irish dance off to them.

Irish Tea For Two Please: Search for the best Irish foods in your local shops lovelies and create a cute afternoon tea with what you get. Soda bread sandwiches. Guinness glazed cocktail sausages. Irish coffee. Barry’s Tea. Shamrock shaped shortbread. You could even dish up some Tayto crisps as a side dish. The possibilities are endless!

The Ultimate Irish Film Marathon: Leap Year. Sing Street. Once. The Commitments. Belfast. The Irish know how to make a great film, which is why a film marathon watching them all is the most perfect way to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

A Full House For Irish Bingo: Gather your friends and family round for a game of Irish bingo. Create cards which feature Irish words on them and they call out each one until a winner gets a line. You can even have a great Irish based price to give them too.

Take A Virtual Trip: There are so many live streams around Ireland that you can tune into for free. I find watching the one in and outside of the Temple Bar so soothing. Watching the live bands also gets me super excited to finally be going there. Just search Irish Live Streams into Google and you will find so many more to tune into. They even have some based in Dublin Zoo, which makes perfect family viewing.

There is always a reason and way to celebrate the biggest Irish party of the year lovelies and I hope these ideas give you a little inspiration lovelies! I’m off to make some Irish treats for a little family focused party on the big day! What will you be doing?
