February is the most perfect time to fall in love again with books! There is something so satisfying about reading a great romance novel! It leaves your heart simply full of joy! There so, I have selected ten for my collection at Hertford Library this month. Find out what they are right here and be prepared to be transported to a new world!

Good Morning Lovelies,

My heart has always fallen for a good romance book! I love the beauty of seeing two people fall in love. I’ve never been afraid to tell everyone that it’s my favourite genre and probably always will be.

There so, with the month of love upon us, I have selected ten books and my favourite one of it around this theme. Discover my picks, which are on display in Hertford Library right now, below…

Book Of The Month: Powerless by Lauren Roberts: After discovering this series whilst looking around my local book shop, I have fallen hard for it. Full of fantasy, romance and a bit of danger too, Powerless follows Paedyn, an Ordinary, who is thrown into the dangerous world of the royals and Elites around her. If you loved The Hunger Games then this is definitely for you.

Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy by Helen Fielding: On Valentine’s Day, the world will be gathering at the cinema to enjoy the latest film instalment of Bridget Jones. Before that happens though, you can enjoy the plot of the film instalment all its original glory. Just grab a bunch of tissues though for the Mr Darcy twist.

Pride And Prejudice by Jane Austin: With my display of books being in Hertford Library, it seemed fitting to pick this romance novel, which has homes in it based on where it is. Take a trip with Elizabeth and Mr Darcy this February.

Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter: This gorgeously crafted YA book takes all the tropes we love from iconic romance films and turns the pages of this book into everything we could want. Perfect for all the family to enjoy.

One Day by David Nicholls: It was turned into one of the biggest TV shows of last year, leading to a surge in people picking it up to read for the first time or again. Experience the love between Emma and Dexter, on the same day every year, for a heart wrenching journey this month.

The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Peston: What would you do if you fell in love with someone who lived in the past? Not sure? Well, you are not the only one as our leading lady faces this exact problem within the pages of this novel. Enjoy this enchanting book while snuggled up with a cosy cup of tea.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston: When the son of the President of America meets an English prince, the two can’t stand each other. However, as the story goes on, there could actually be something a little more behind their hatred of each other.

Keep Me In Your Heart by Monica Murphy: When a footballer’s dreams are put to rest, he feels like everything is over. Until he starts to fall for the charms of someone he never thought he would. Capture first love feels with this one lovelies.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne: Enemies to lovers are some of the best ways to hook us romance readers in. Telling the story of two co-workers fighting to become the next managers in their office, the two soon end up using their vengeance for something a little more.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell: YA authors know how to make our hearts beat and this modern classic does just that. Capturing a love story set in the modern ages, you can’t help but get immersed in the back and forth messages between the two leads. Will they find out the truth behind them? You’ll have to read it to find out.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë: If you are more of a dark romance fan then nothing could be more perfect than this literary classic. Cathy and Heathcliff are the ultimate forbidden lovers. Grab a copy of this, sit by a warm fire and preteen you are escaping the countryside outside for hours.

Which book always makes your heart skip a beat on Valentine’s Day lovelies? Will you be reading one of my picks this month? Let me know!
