Good Morning Lovelies,
Cooking during the holiday season can leave many of us feeling stressed, especially when we are trying to come up with ideas on what to make! Luckily, I have come up with something that uses only three ingredients that are probably in our cupboards and fridges still to make.
Bringing out a fruity side to any event, these twists turn the savoury kind on their heads, as they are perfect nibbles. Forget spending ages of a new year’s trifle, it will be all about these once you make it…
Ingredients
One Sheet of Ready Rolled Puff Pastry
Two Tablespoons of Granulated Sugar
Three Tablespoons of Jam (Your Favourite Kind or A Mix)
Tools
Baking Tray
Greaseproof Paper
A Butter Knife
A Sharp Knife or Pizza Cutter
Method
Start by preheating your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or Gas Mark 6, before lining your baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Lightly flour a surface, before rolling out your puff pastry. Taking a butter knife, on one half of the pastry, spread the jam evenly across it.
Once spread, take the other half of pastry and fold over onto the jam side to make a sandwich type pastry.
Using a knife or pizza cutter, carefully slice the pastry into even strips, before twisting each one several times.
Place onto the baking tray and sprinkle the tops with sugar to get a caramel finish upon baking.
Pop into the oven for around 12 minutes or until golden and puffed up. When ready, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before tucking in!
You won’t be able to stop baking these once you start lovelies! They are perfect for any party or occasion, including even sitting at home on the sofa! Exactly how we will be spending NYE aha!
