New Year’s Eve is often spent going out partying, however, I am a firm fan of the art of staying in on it! There is nothing stopping you having a little party alone or with loved ones, in your PJs or finery, right in the middle of your living room! Here is why I am a firm fan of staying in on NYE!

Good Morning Lovelies, 

When I was younger, I used to love New Year’s Eve! We would have all my parent’s friends come round, with their children, and have a big celebration at home. As the years went on, things got a bit quieter, but actually I’ve loved it! 

Staying in is so much better on New Year’s Eve and I am not going to hear any bad things about it. Yes, parties are great, but the fact that I don’t have to fight to get home on a train or bus is bliss! There are so many reasons why I love it and I think you can all agree with the following…

You Can Dress How You Like: I’m a fan of the NYE PJ suit! Often the leftover Christmas PJs I haven’t worn yet, I look like Bridget Jones on her sofa on the big night and I’m proud of it. Of course, it is also lovely to dress up if you want to and being at home means you don’t have to worry if it is too much. It never is! 

There Is No Trouble Getting Home: If you are like me then a busy train or bus is hell on Earth. Plus, with the alcohol having been surely flowing, it is also horrific to see some of the things that others say or get up to. Staying at home means that there are no stresses regarding travel. The only trouble you will have is the walk up the stairs to bed. 

The Food You Eat Is All Yours: Fighting for the best of the buffet or waiting for it to seem okay to go to it is horrible. The buffet you serve yourself or others at home is all yours! You can have as many mini pizzas, chicken bites, falafels and more until your heart is content. Plus, you can enjoy any leftovers the day after without having to cook again. 

Midnight Strikes And So Does Bed: If you are like me then sometimes the best thing after the fireworks is knowing that you are going to get the best nights sleep of the year so far right after. Rolling from the sofa to your bed is perfection! 

The People You Love Are There: Staying in doesn’t mean that you are alone lovelies! You can gather all of your nearest and dearest and have the NYE that you all want. Grab matching outfits, the silly glasses and have an at home ball to mark the new year. 

Of course, most of these are also a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see and hear all the stories of how people have celebrated the new years incoming. Whatever you may be doing lovelies, I hope that you all have a fantastic time and a great NYE!
