Five Things I Will Be Taking Into 2025 From 2024

2024 is a year I truly wish to forget! However, there was some really high moments within it that I am thankful for. Many of them showed me the beauty of life again and I am going to take them into 2025 with me for sure! To celebrate them, I thought it would be nice to do a little bit of a reflection! I hope you don’t mind!

Good Morning Lovelies,

There are only a few days left of 2024 and I can’t wait to say good upset to this year! From July, it has been hard and I am just grateful that I was able to stay so strong to get through it. The months really did drag at times, yet, I think that having the time to reflect brought some realisations into my life.

With those moments in mind, I thought it would nice to share with you all a little bit of a reflection post to highlight what made my year. I am so grateful for the little moments that this year brought, as it strengthen my relationships and showed me how to value myself at times. Therefore I hope to take the following into 2025 to make it a much better time…

Resting More: For a long time, I was someone who would go to sleep at around 1am and be up at 4:30/5:30am. Whilst I did start to get better at going to bed earlier, I was unable to sleep and found myself struggling. Even on little sleep. However, after getting ill and finding myself in bed a lot, I have found myself needing to rest more. Whilst I still struggle to get to bed early, I do now sleep in until 8/8:30am to get around six to seven hours of sleep. Even just a few more hours has helped a lot and made me see that rest is vital.

Spending Time With Family: My mum and me could not be any closer! At the end of 2023, we were both suffering the aftermath of a traumatic event. We didn’t really know how to manage it, however, we vowed to be there for each other no matter what. This year, we helped each other improve our home, get new jobs, make new friends and cared for each other when we were both unwell. I know for a fact that we will both continue to do so in the new year.

Fighting For My Health: After a scary experience in late July, I am still battling multiple serious health conditions. Throughout 2024, I saw so many different doctors and nurses. Many were fantastic, yet, when I was faced with ones who I felt didn’t help, I was able to fight for my health. I even asked for second opinions, which led to the right care. I am proud of myself for overcoming my fears of going to the doctors and for fighting for my rights and my health. An act I will be doing in 2025 and forever!

Enjoying The Little Things: My mum took a week off work in November and we had a mini staycation at home due to my health. We visited places that we hadn’t been to in ages near to where we lived and spent time reconnecting. In 2025, I will be appreciating the little things in life with my mum even more.

Your Dreams Can Always Be Reached: Helping my mum get the job that she always wanted inspired me so much. She showed me how you can achieve your dreams at any age. Since she started, her mood and mental health has improved so much. It makes me so happy! Dreams are something that I will be aiming for in 2025.

What do you hope to continue to do in 2025 lovelies? I hope that whatever it may be that it makes you happy lovelies because you all deserve to be!
