In our house, you can’t beat the festive pies and tarts that come out each year! From the ultimate sweet delights to the hearty meaty feasts, the world is full of them right now! However, no one makes a festive special that can be enjoyed hot or cold, liked Ginsters, who have announced their exciting new piece of pastry and festive filled wonder!

Grab those knifes and forks lovelies, because I have a festive delight that will have you sitting at your kitchen tables quickly! Fresh from the wonders at Ginsters, the team have brought back their Festive Chicken and Stuffing Slice to make us all enjoy the Christmas season as best as we can. 

Loved by many, the team kindly sent me a few samples, in a parcel that felt like an early Christmas present, to sample with my family, who all love a Ginsters. With the option to warm up or enjoy cold, my mum decided to heat the slice up and pair it with a side of festive vegetables and mash potato, all topped with a rich thick gravy. 

Cutting open the slice, we found it filled to the brim with chicken, smoked bacon, sage and onion stuffing, potato and a creamy white sauce that oozed out in a beautiful way. All of which wrapped up like an early Christmas present in rich crispy golden pastry. Having only needed eight minutes in the air fryer to get to this perfect consistency, our dinner was cooked in no time, making it perfect for when in a rush after a day of festive shopping of present wrapping. 

Tucking into the dish, my mum moaned in pure delight. Every element resembled a roast dinner spread that you could expect to find in homes and restaurants on the big day. The seasoning was perfect at bringing the chicken to life, whilst the bacon mingled in in a way that gave it a pigs in blankets taste and texture. With the added element of the stuffing, it topped all other kinds. 

Asking her whether she would buy it again, she stated that she understood why they had to bring it back. Beating top brands in her eyes, she to,d me that she would be looking out for them when we do our weekly shop to stock up on them. She hopes to try them in many different ways before Christmas, including having them on their own too, as she said they would make a perfect lunch too.

Available now in supermarkets nationwide, the Ginsters festive slice costs just £1.95, a price that makes it a lot cheaper than other seasonal dishes lovelies! It is honestly one of the best that my family have enjoyed and with it being able to be enjoyed on the go or at home makes it a great dish to have at anytime when you may need a Christmas pick me up! I bet even Santa will pop one on his sleigh on Christmas Eve to tuck into! It is that good lovelies, so don’t miss out on it!
