My July 2024 New Food Finds

00:00:00

With July being my birthday month, I like to try and branch out and try something new! Or mix up the meals I have with new features! Luckily, there were some great food products I found, which made my big day and month extra special! And boy would I recommend them to all of you lovelies! Discover what delicious finds they are here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Every July, I like to try and find a few new things to really try and have, to mark my birthday month. Whilst I can’t enjoy cakes or sweet treats, due to my ED, I was able to have a classic dish on the big day that may be a little odd aha!

Find out what foods I found here…

M&S Plain Bagels, £2.50: I had seen these in the shop near to us a long time ago, yet, I stuck with the NYC Bakery kind, as I enjoyed their taste and cheaper price. Yet, the brand recently changed their recipe and it frightened me, causing me to try and find something else. Deciding to give these a go, I am so happy that I did, as they are perfection on a plate with warm runny honey and apple!

Jacket Potatoes: Our wonderful neighbour Archie works on a fruit and vegetable stall, which has bowls of jacket potatoes on them. I’ve been scared to have them, however, after trying to cut down on my sugar a little bit, I decided to try and give them a go. With loads of veg and gravy, they are delicious.

M&S Set Honey, £1.45: I’ve had this honey in my cupboard for ages, yet I’ve been too scared to try it. Normally going for the Rowse faithful I adore, the night before my birthday, I decided to try and have it warm on a bagel. And I have to say that I truly loved it! If I need a more affordable or own brand one, I will definitely pick this up again.

Jason’s White Sourdough, £2: After my old faithful bagels changed their recipe, I had to find something else quickly. This handy, already sliced loaf, took its place, soaking in the warm runny honey well. Whilst I’ve switched to the M&S bagels now, I will definitely go back to this in the future.

Christmas Dinner In July: Not so much as a food find but more of a discovery that I couldn’t do it. I’d been thinking about what I wanted to eat on my birthday and decided that I wanted my mum’s Christmas dinner that she makes us. With a few changes, to make this a one of a kind, it was a great comforting dish to have on a day that I really needed it.

What did you lovelies enjoy or discover to eat in July? Let me know!

Best,

Joey X
