Wanting to get your little ones into something a little different? Then it is time to look to the Japan Centre! After announcing a brand new Cherry Blossom Mochi based doughnut, the team hosted a special Easter event to celebrate at Heddon Yokocho in London. Our newest little blogger went along to find out more for us…

Good Morning Lovelies,

Hosted at the Heddon Yokocho, London's retro 1970 Tokyo inspired ramen restaurant, my newest little blogger Lola was one of the first to celebrate the launch of the Japan Centre’s new cherry blossom mochi doughnuts, at an exciting Easter themed event!

Catered to children three and above, Lola was greeted by a lovely member of staff, before being seated in front of mini chocolate eggs, colouring tools and customisable Easter eggs before the big fun begun. The decorating of a plain mochi doughnut in honour of their new one.

With a range of different glazes, sprinkles and toppings to add on top, Lola and the other children were given three freshly made doughnuts, however, one of these was a professionally decorated one to take home. Given free range to be as creative as possible, Lola created a pink and purple glazed set of masterpieces, which were sprinkled with popping candy and Easter themed decorations. Including super sweet bunny rabbits!

Kindly, I had been gifted the opportunity to attend the event along with Lola, however, the event could be attended by anyone who purchased a ticket. For £20, not only did they get the doughnuts but also a drink for both adults and children, a 45 minute decorating session, free activities and a 25% off voucher for food at the venue.

It was a real treat to get what we did and I could tell that those who had paid were happy with what they got. Lola got to spend ages having fun, exploring the restaurant and playing the games too. Something that kept her entertained for hours, as we waited for a special lunch treat, given to us by the Japan Centre.

With a special set menu, there was also the option to have what you wanted, including fancy themed cocktails. After a big, warming bowl of broth, we couldn’t hold back and had to have more desserts to go with the doughnuts. Throughout the meal, we couldn’t help but be impressed by what the Japan Centre had created!

The food is delicious with the doughnuts being light, fluffy and out of this world when it comes to flavour. The atmosphere is perfect for the whole family and the staff were amazing too. As Easter eggs or doughnuts go, this has to be one of the best in the business!

Throughout the year, the Japan Centre host a number of special events, including themed ones like this. However, if you are unable to make it, the team has stocked up their website full of delicious delights for you all to try. Don’t miss out on the Cherry Blossom Mochi Doughnuts lovelies, as they are limited edition. And they are too good to lose out on!

Lola was a fantastic reporter, who loved each and every bite of her doughnut. Look out for another mini blogger adventure soon lovelies! They may include doughnuts again!
