The world of food is getting ready for BBQ season, with some of the most exciting sauces and relishes coming to life just in time. One company who is getting in on the act is the brilliant Tracklements, who we are big fans of on the blog! 

Fresh off the shelf, the team have announced their new special edition Chimichurri Chilli Relish, priced at £4.10, which sounds like it would be a dream on top of a crispy chicken burger. Made up of flavours from Argentina and Uruguay, the sauce features the tastes of coriander, oregano, parsley, garlic, lemon juice and Bird’s Eye Chillies, to give your dishes that extra kick. 

Sent a sample to try early, we decided to put it to the test on a little bit of roast chickening. Taking a spoonful from the very green jar, my mum placed it on her chicken, letting the heat from the meat soak it in. As it oozed down the sides, it also went onto her new potatoes, adding flavour to them too. 

Whilst there was a real kick from the chilli’s, she found that it wasn’t an unbearable heat. It was instead quite a refreshing one in fact. The rich mix of herbs added a Mediterranean style to the dish that she said would be great on a salad in the summer too. 

Refreshing, hot and perfect for all dishes, come winter or summer, this special edition jar will hopefully become a permanent one in the end. My mum has used it in many dishes and sandwiches since that first test. It would be a real shame if it wasn’t! To try it yourself lovelies, you can buy it online or in shops now!
