The Best Cereal Toppers To Elevate Your Next Bowl

From honey to fruit, there are so many things that can be added to cereal to make it even better! Warmed up with hot milk, the following are real winners for me, which I hope you will find yourself enjoying too. Whether you put loads on or just a trickle, it’s time to discover pure foodie joy by adding one to your next bowl!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Many of you know that I am a lover of cereal. It’s one of my biggest safe foods and I think I could enjoy it morning, noon and night. Currently, I have fallen into a big Cornflakes obsession, even ordering some off Amazon after worrying that I didn’t have enough. However, it isn’t just the cereal I love! It’s what goes on top of them that I enjoy too!

A sprinkle of something extra can make all the difference, which is why I wanted to share this post with you all. Over the past few years, I have found the following elevate the tasty bowls of true delight to new levels. I hope that one of the following can inspire your next cereal bowl taste to…

Honey: You all know by now that there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t have a bit of honey. I love how this makes my cereal taste, especially when it melts into the warm milk I have with it. The addition of honey gives me just the right kick I need in the morning.

Dried Fruit: Whether it be raisins or something more exotic, the sweetness of the fruit can elevate a bowl perfectly. Hot milk, raisins and corn flakes are a big winner for me, however, dried apricots, mixed fruits and even dried apples can make a difference to how it all tastes.

Jam: Strawberry, apricot, raspberry and more, the jammy goodness that these conserves can make to a bowl of cereal is fantastic. Reminding me of when they used to be mixed into school dinner rice pudding, the jam adds a touch of fruity goodness when mixed into the milk. Warm up the bowl and it gets even better.

Fresh Fruit: On top of my cereal, I like to have either raspberries or blackberries every day, however, I’ve seen cereal bowls be elevated to incredible heights with fresh fruit. From bananas to kiwis, there is no stopping these cereal toppers. Simply add your favourites for the best bowls in town.

Spices: Growing up, my mum would always add a dash of cinnamon to our Ready Brek or porridge. Now, I find that it can change a whole bowl of cereal. Sprinkled on top of bowls of Rice Krispies, Cornflakes and many more, the experiments you can have with spices can leave your taste buds very happy.

What cereal do you love to have in the morning? Do you have anything on top of them? If so, let me know what you enjoy, as I would love to get some more ideas too! Now, let’s grab a bowl!
