Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One Review

00:00:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

It doesn’t seem like we can get through a year without another Mission Impossible film and why should we when they are still just as good? With Tom Cruise leading the way, the thrills and action have never been better than they are in Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One!

Joining forces again with director Christopher McQuarrie, the film sees the pair connecting once more to make a masterpiece of action cinematic skills. Pushing both behind the scenes and on screen moments to the brink of endless danger, they can’t seem to not bring out an anxiety in viewers that only comes from being so involved. Nobody should be doing what they do. Nobody should be making it work so well. Yet, they both do.

Continuing on from where Fallout ended, Cruise’s Ethan is trying to reunite his team, whilst facing evil acts from an A.I. source. The chase starts from the moment the film begins and it doesn’t relent. Not even at the end.

With epic chases, hard stunts and a fantastic script, the feature can’t be removed or ignored. There is no part that you don’t want to see. If you miss a bit, you have to rewind to catch up. Even a chase in a little Fiat is thrilling.

Even though the series has been running for 27 years now, it is only really just starting. The chases. The scripts. The action. Each part of the mission journey just keeps getting better and better. There is nothing deadly about this one. It’s a winner in every way. Including the cheesy moments. Cruise and McQuarrie, a dynamic duo, who both know just what to do to keep us entertained for hours.

4 Stars
