Five Easy Ways To Save This Halloween!

Hey Lovelies,

With Halloween just around the corner it can be a bit of a stressful time. Parties are being planned. Costumes purchased or made. Trick or treat sweets having to be brought. Everything can add up. However, I have gathered a few tips over the past few years, which have helped me to save.

Super easy to follow and simple too, I wanted to pass them on to you lovelies, in case they can help you. Having a read whilst enjoying some Halloween sweets…

Bulk Buy and Check the Weights on Halloween Treats: Planning to hand out sweets and chocolates on Halloween or at a party? Bulk buy the tubs of chocolates and sweets whilst they are on offer now. Tesco’s and Morrisons have both reduced their tubs to around £4 each. You should also look up the weight of sweets, as packets or individual sweets may work out better.

Use Old Items Instead of New: Got old costumes or decorations lying around? Host a swap shop or reuse and repurpose them. Old costumes could be ripped up and used as horror themed rags. Costumes can also be swapped around to help get new for less. You can also check out charity shops who often display costumes and decorations throughout the month. All at a fraction of the cost.

Bake and Make: Instead of buying in all the food you need for a party, make your own. There are some super easy but spooky themed cakes and bakes to make. Hot dog mummies, which are tinned hot dogs wrapped in thin strips of pastry. Oreo spiders can be made by using Oreo biscuits and liquorice laces. Caramel apples are super easy, with only melted caramel sweets and apples needed to make them. There is so much you can do without having to pay a lot.

Buy A Reusable Pumpkin: Instead of buying a big pumpkin to cut up, buy a reusable one from a shop instead. This way they can be used again and again without you having to buy a new one each year. If you or the kids in your life like to decorate them, buy pumpkin stickers instead to place on them.

Don’t Do Anything: This time of year brings a pressure to do loads of autumn filled activities. Yet, if you really don’t want to, don’t! No one will judge you, I definitely won’t! It can be a scary time for many and with Christmas just round the corner, if it is better save for that instead do it lovelies. There will be so many films and scary shows on TV that you can still embrace the spooky season without paying a penny.

However you choose to celebrate Halloween, I hope that at least one of these tips can help you save!
