Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves Review
00:00:00Good Morning Lovelies,
After a hugely successful revival, thanks to Stranger Things, Dungeons & Dragons has returned with a force. One that is reflected hugely in its latest cinematic outing, Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves, which is out on home release from today!
Starring Chris Pine, Hugh Grant and Michelle Rodriguez, the feature follows Pine’s Edgin and Rodriguez’s Holga, as they battle to recover Edgin’s daughter. No easy feat when being chased for escaping prison, an old enemy and a bunch of dark forces.
Whilst everything about this film might shout cheese, it very much doesn’t reflect it on screen. Pine and Rodriguez are a dream team you wouldn’t expect.
The comical timings of the script and cinematography are perfect. They definitely aren’t playing around with this game to film feature.
Fans of gags that allow the film to take the mickey out of itself will love this too. There are many elements where things could border on being too much, but then the script writers step in and make a line perfect for all to enjoy. You can’t help being enraptured by it. Even if you know nothing about the D&D world.
Filled with fantasy, fun and thrills, this is a feature that the whole family can embrace. It’s got everything you could expect and more from the gaming world. In a way though that includes every audience member.
4 Stars
