Good Afternoon Lovelies,

A few days ago, it was confirmed that I would be returning to the BFI London Film Festival again this year to share everything for the event with you all! That means film, fun and a whole host of inside news lovelies.

As each film gets released and more news is told, I will be ready to let you all know it. Starting with this exciting announcement that this year’s Archive Gala will be a special event called, The Great Victorian Moving Picture Show, screening on the 18th October at the BFI IMAX.

Edited for the event to be shown on a grander scale, the festival will feature a whole host of BFI classics from their National Archive for the first time in over 120 years.

Speaking about the film, BFI Head Curator, Robin Baker said, “The quality and clarity of these new restorations is extraordinary. They offer an immediacy and connection with the Victorian period that I have never felt before. You almost feel as if you can reach out and touch the past. The Great Victorian Moving Picture Show provides audiences with an exclusive first look at some of the 700+ Victorian films newly digitised by the BFI National Archive that we will launching online in 2019 to mark the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s birth.”

Look out for more BFI London Film Festival news soon lovelies!
