THE SCARIEST ITEMS EVER IN FILMS WITH ANNABELLE!

16:19:00

Hello Lovelies,

Annabelle will be in cinemas soon and to celebrate one of the scariest looking dolls ever, I thought I would take us through some of the scariest features or props in recent years. Since the 90s made a new generation of horror films, these items will always cause a shiver down the spine! So let’s take a look at some of the scariest items in recent horror films…

1. The Phone: Whether it is a mobile or the house phone, when a phone call takes place in a horror film you know that it is never a good thing. From ‘Scream’ to ‘When A Stranger Calls’, it is one horror element that leaves the audience feeling very panicked…

2. Scissorhands: No I am not talking about the absolutely ‘Edward Scissorhands’ but the evil figure that has been haunting the young people’s dreams. Mr Freddie Kruger! One of the scariest items in horror history was his hands and for many the noise they made stayed with them for a long time...

3. Cameras: Since ‘The Blair Witch Project’ was created, if a camera is in a house you know that this is never a good thing. And then the first ‘Paranormal Activity’ came out horror fans were scared again by the reality that the camera brings. I am all for reality TV but not this kind…

4. Ouija board: Hate Them! Hate Them! Why do they include these in films? Nothing good ever comes from them apart from the audience watching the film being scared of of their minds. Do people never learn that these should not be used? I couldn't find a clip for this but if you have seen 'Paranormal Activity', you will understand what I mean!

5. Masks: Michael Myers in ‘Halloween’ is a prime example of the mask in horror films! I am terrified every time he walks into the bedroom in that sheet and then take sit off to reveal his face. I really do not like that scene at all…

6. Dolls or Puppets: And finally it would not be right to not mention dolls or puppets in this because they are the scariest thing in horror films. With ‘Annabelle’ looking positively terrifying to the dolls and toys in ‘Woman In Black’, the use of them is not going anywhere and the more that they are used they become even more frightening…

And there we have it the scariest props in horror history that I think are the most terrifying! What do you think should have been on the list if I didn’t include it on there? Let me know on the comments below or on Twitter and I will make a list to include in a future post!

Annabelle will be out in cinemas from the 10th October in the UK and is out now in America!
