Hello Lovelies,

Now I wasn't old enough to see this show when it was on TV, but this new film and its cast looks like the perfect thing for old and new fans to watch! Universal, Screen Yorkshire and DJ Films have come together to announce the cast of the new film based on the TV show 'Dad's Army'.

The film will be directed by Oliver Parker, and stars Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta Jones, Toby Jones, Tom Courtenay, Michael Gambon, Blake Harrison, Danny Mays, Bill Paterson, Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman, Mark Gatiss and Annette Crosbie.

It will be entirely shot in Yorkshire and based in 1944, during the climax of WW2. With the Allies about to invade France and defeat Germany, Walmington-on- Sea is having problems. The morale amongst the home guard is low, but when they are sent on a new mission in Dover their hopes begin to rise.

That is until journalist Rose turns up to write about everything that is going on, on camp and with the men. This sends the men's hearts racing and the local women running around on red alert to fend off the new woman.

But the men's hearts are soon racing with other issues, when MI5 send an alert from Berlin that a spy is on the loose and that the state of war is now at stake, unless these unlikely heroes can help!

I am not sure when this film will be released but I will let you all know as soon as possible :)
