Hello Lovelies, 

This is the third new film today and it is a really important feature. 'Selma' is directed by Ava DuVernay and tells the story of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s struggle to secure voting rights for African American's. 

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of this incredible moment in the Civil Rights Movement, and this film follows the three month campaign by Martin Luther King Jr. which led to the march from Selma to Montgomery in Alabama.

His campaign caused a change in public opinion and caused President Johnson to create the Voting Rights Act. Protecting African-Americans right to vote. 

Playing Martin Luther King Jr. is David Oyelowo, who is currently creating an incredible film catalogue. The cast also includes Tom Wilkinson, Carmen Ejogo, Tim Roth and Oprah Winfrey and will be released on the 6th February.
