Good Morning Lovelies, 

It is officially the start of my favourite season tomorrow! As soon as October hits, I feel myself come alive! The cosy nights are coming. The best festivities are upon us. I can really go to town and make my home my hibernation destination! And I am here for every single moment of it! 

I know for many that this time of the year can be a bit of a downer. The dark mornings and nights can make it hard to get out of bed, yet, there is something so special about this season to me that it actually puts a spring in my step. I strive on a cold crisp morning with the heating on. I sleep better when I can hear the rain and wind beating on my window. 

Autumn brings with it a sense of purpose. A time to shred the leaves that have been holding us back all summer and embrace a sense of calm. No longer do we have to pretend that we like the over 30ºC temperatures. No longer do we have to suffer another burnt sausage from the BBQ that needs a wash but never gets it. No longer do we have to pretend that we like watching those weird royal family documentaries on TV. 

We are in full stay at home season, when all the best things happen. Warm comforting dinners that make the whole house smell amazing. Cosy candles glowing brightly, soft blankets to snuggle up, endless pyjamas with fluffy socks, it just doesn’t get better than this. Oh! And Strictly is back on our TV screens at long last! 

If I could, I would put my Christmas tree up right now and live in full ecstasy. Though, I will hold myself back for a few more weeks. I think my mum will kill me if she comes home from work and finds a bunch of fairy lights and the tree in the corner of her living room before we even hit November. 

But in all honest lovelies, I am truly very happy right now. I feel so much better when this time of year arrives and oddly I think a lot of us do. I think we thrive on being able to really celebrate fun things again. Halloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas and New Year’s. You just don’t get those big occasions that make so many of us joyful during summer! I love this time of year, as I finally get to go all out and really do things that I have been planning throughout the past couple of months. 

Autumn is just beautiful and on the eve of the start of the festive season, I hope you are all feeling as excited and happy as I am! If not, I hope you can start to feel so soon lovelies! We are really about to have a lot of fun on this blog and I hope that it will have you all giddy like me inside too! We have made it to the most wonderful time of the year lovelies and it is only just getting started!
