What I Watched During August 2026
00:00:00August may have been another month full of hot sunny days but for me, it was all about getting out early and enjoying the rest of the days hibernating from the heat! This led to me discovering a number of new shows and films that managed to keep me entertained! Find out what kept me hooked to my screen all month long here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
During summer, I feel like our TV screens get really boring. I know that we are all meant to be out and enjoying the sunshine! Yet, as someone who seeks comfort over rays, I needed some good TV in my life.
Thankfully, our streaming services were on hand to help, as I found a number of new shows to keep myself entertained with. The following five shows and films were just a few that kept me gripped over the month of August…
My Life With The Walter Boys (Series Three): This is one of those shows that I sort of count as a guilty pleasure. In fact, I am not even guilty about watching it. I binged the third series in two days and now I am longing for the next series, which Netflix needs to announce soon, as I want more Cole in my life.
Spiderman: Brand New Day: After watching all of the first three films in preparation, I was eager to see the latest instalment. And it did not disappoint! Probably one of the best films from the Marvel universe in a long time, I really hope that the way this ends means we will be getting more from Spiderman and co.
Sterling Point: I really wanted this to be the show that filled the gap that Off Campus and My Life WIth The Walter Boys left. However, I couldn’t get past the first episode. I really struggled to be gripped by it. I didn’t like the characters much and found them to be really off putting from the start. I may give it another go in the future but for now I can honestly say that it wasn’t for me.
Adults: I wasn’t expecting to love this much as I did but I really enjoyed the ease of having this on. Every character was likable and I loved how a scene could go from being funny to serious in one go. It really proved how adulting really is and I loved it. I can’t wait for more series to land.
Camp Rock 3: Growing up, I was hooked on Disney Channel Original films, including Camp Rock. Whilst it didn't overtake my life like High School Musical did, I still loved it. I even formed a massive crush on Joe Jonas because of it. Even with that floppy hair. So, when the third film came out, I had to watch it. Even though it was super cheesy, it didn't brighten up my Saturday night the weekend it came out.
What have you all been watching during the last month? Let me know, as I would love to find the perfect show or film to binge on during the upcoming cosy months!
