Looking For Help Finding Your Next Holiday? Let The Lonely Planet Guides Help!
00:00:00Did you know that Ireland is the place where Halloween originally started? Yep, right in the heart of Derry! With the spooky season upon us, the city is about to come alive with the dead! And I am using this exciting news to plan my next trip to the emerald island with the help of a handy Lonely Planet guide book and map!
Good Morning Lovelies,
For years, I used to think that Halloween was an American thing. Every time it would come around when I was younger, I would hear people say that it wasn’t a thing we really do in the UK, as it had come over from the US. Yet, they couldn’t have been more wrong. It is in fact an Irish tradition!
Having started in Derry, the festival soon spread to America before taking over the whole world. It is one of the many wonderful things that Ireland has given to us and as you all know I am a big fan of all things Irish. Therefore, when the team at Lonely Planet offered to help me plan for my next trip, I couldn’t say yes quickly enough.
Making so many amazing books to help you discover where you want to go next, the team have created a new edition of their Ireland guide, which has everything you could ever want in it. Covering both the Republic and Southern Ireland, it features the best pubs, music venues, monuments, markets and more to spot whilst touring the country.
As someone who wants to see it all, I found myself instantly amazed by all the information upon the gifted version I was kindly being placed in my hands. I thought I had covered so much of Dublin, yet, the guide made me aware of more places I want to go to on my next adventure. Plus, it introduced me to areas in Ireland I would never have known or thought about.
One place in particular was Dingle, which caught my eye due to the wonderful images within the guide that showcased its stunning shoreline. Even as someone who isn’t a massive beach fan, I wanted to hop on a plane and go to it as soon as I saw how gorgeous it appeared. Plus, there was a very cute donkey in the image too, which won my mum over instantly.
I don’t think I have ever searched or scanned SkyScanner for trips so much as I did whilst flicking through this book. Perfect for planning and for whilst you are actually on your trip, Lonely Planet have made the guides that we all need in our lives to help us see the best of a place. Not only those in Ireland but around the world, thanks to their great selection of handy books to pick from.
Right now, we are planning a number of trips we want to go to in Ireland, so this book couldn’t have landed at the right time. I am someone who needs to go to places where there is a lot to do and this book is helpful in providing me with the insights into what is available to see if there is enough for me.
Whether you are going to Ireland or somewhere else in the world lovelies, take a look at the Lonely Planet website to see if they have the guide for you. You may just be inspired to book that around the world tour you have always wanted to do, as each guide makes you want to see the world in a whole new way!
I am honestly so ready to go back to Ireland now! Though, where I will go next has been made so much harder now! We will just have to wait and see where I pick to go! Watch this space!
