Good Morning Lovelies, 

Silverstone is often the place associated with some of the best motorsport races in the world. However, over the last few days, it has transformed itself into the ultimate festival venue to help bring to life this year’s CarFest! 

Over the course of the bank holiday weekend, the racetracks were turned into different areas for all the family to enjoy and we were very lucky enough to be invited down to the event to see what was going on. Upon arriving at the site, which was a new base for 2026 and very easy to find and park in, we were greeted by some of the kindest people and the most beautiful cars. 

After flashing our passes to get in, which are all stored on the Silverstone app, we walked onto the site to find music already blaring out across the venue. Hearing those first few notes, mixed with the sounds of cars revving their tires made all of our group, including three adults, one teenager and a three-year-old, very excited, as we all found ourselves very quickly invested. 

Stopping to look at the map on site, we quickly decided to grab a drink from the FoodFest area to help keep us refresh ourselves after the long drive. With the likes of Dame Prue Leith, Tom Kerridge and many more amazing chefs displaying and cooking up a storm in the area, it was inspiring to see many different food trucks and up and coming talent on display. Instantly, we knew that this was the place to go for a meal like no other. 

We were amazed at the selection on offer and couldn’t wait to tuck into a whole host of cuisines, which we shared amongst us. You were so spoiled for choice that picking just one type would have been hard to do. 

With our thirst quenched, at a very reasonable price, we decided to do a bit of exploring to see what was going on during the Saturday line up. Throughout our time looking at all the stalls, sponsors and activities, we were amazed at the amount of items that we were given out. Every single one of us walked away with something to mark the day with, leaving a truly special feel amongst us. 

Though, the real special touch came when we found the SpaFest. Health and wellbeing experts galore, including Mr Motivator himself, were on hand to make sure that any stresses we might have had vanished. From massages to gentle breathing exercises, which even the little one could join in with, we all found it to be a really lovely part of our day. 

If we had been there for the whole weekend, we agreed that it would have been a really joy to have joined in on the first spa activity of the day, under the rising sun, to help us all wake up calm and refreshed. You could even do a spot of retail therapy if you wanted to at the RetroFest area, which had some iconic pieces within it.

Not wanting to get too relaxed and sleepy though, we quickly moved on to something that would really rev up our engines. The cars! Known for showing some of the most beautiful cars in the world, all of us were in awe at the vehicles on show in the CarFest area. Seeing them, whilst standing on one of the most famous tracks in the world, was so surreal to us all that we couldn’t get over all the details. 

From witnessing how the engines were changed to the interiors of certain models and makes, the event, which had over 500 cars on show, kept our tanks filled up to the max, as we took it all in. When we saw some of them zooming round the track, the littlest one nearly leapt out of his pushchair in excitement. We feared it might have been too loud for him but we now believe we may have the next Lewis Hamilton on our hands. Though, we didn’t let him go for a ride in one of the cars available to take on a spin though. Just to be safe! 

Having been thrilled, calmed and fed, we were ready to take in the delights of the music for a little bit. With headliners including Nile Rodgers ft Chic, Tom Jones and Jessie J taking to the stage, we were pumped to see our main act, who was Mr Jones, on the day. However, when we first saw the MusicFest stage, we were a bit early for him, so we settled in for a spot of light listening to the likes of Charlie Ward and Flo Gallop. 

We didn’t get to sit down for long though, as we were soon made aware of the KidsFest area, having caught sight of Pudsey Bear walking around. With free face painting, fairground rides, sensory workshops and a whole host more, the little and big kids in our group were kept entertained for hours, giving us time to sit back and relax whilst they had fun, in a safe and secure area, which you don’t often get at most festivals. 

With everyone super happy, we had made it to the evening by this point and to not break the good mood, we headed back to pick up another bite to it, before capturing a quick peek into the StarFest area. Some of the biggest names in comedy, TV and the food industry were speaking throughout the day and when we arrived, Joe Wicks and George Clarke had just provided the audience with some fantastic speeches. 

As the night drew in and the rain left off, we thought it would be best to head back to the main MusicFest area to get our seats ready for the night. With the little one in his pushchair, we rolled out a blanket and sat on the grass, all whilst taking in the wonderful tones of James Morrison and the Sugababes. Everyone around us was welcoming and smiling continuously, which we found ourselves doing a lot of too!

With the Sugababes departing from the stage, we stood up to welcome the main man himself, Mr Tom Jones. Coming out in his iconic suit, he was quick to blast hit after hit, leaving us all singing and dancing. None of us will ever get over seeing a crowd belting out Sex Bomb in a long time. It was the perfect way to end a really fantastic day!

Overall, the festival is a real delight for all the family. Created by radio host Chris Evans, the experience is one that none of us will forget for a long time. Especially when we know that it has all been created to help raise money for a number of children's charities. Seeing the hard work, determination and fun that is poured into the weekend is awe inspiring and everyone behind the scenes should be proud of what they have achieved and done. 

From start to finish, we had a real blast! Capturing the real essence of family fun, CarFest makes sure that whatever you are interested in, they will cater it to you! We will be racing to the start line to book up for next year I am certain of it!
