With the school holidays officially in full swing now, keeping the family entertained is high on our things to do! Yet, a day of fun doesn’t mean going out and spending lots of money. A cosy one at home can be just as good! Especially when there are fun games, like the following from Exploding Kittens involved! Find out all about them here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

As soon as the school holidays arrived when I was younger, I couldn’t wait to plan and spend all my days with my friends. We wouldn’t go off and do big elaborate things. We were happy to be on our bikes playing on our street or up at our local park playing football. We really did love doing simple things.

A big day was something that was really big, as it meant a lot of planning had gone into what my parents were organising. Yet, as much as I was grateful for it and always had fun, I used to find that I would prefer the cosy days at home better. I loved playing with my toys or taking part in a family games night more than anything, knowing I could stay up late as there was no school tomorrow.

Something I am sure that when you really ask the little ones what they would like to do during a day off that they would agree with. Therefore, when Exploding Kittens got in touch to tell me all about their new games, I couldn’t wait to share them with you all. Perfect for a day at home or to take with you on holiday or to a friend's house, they provide endless amounts of fun that will have everyone laughing in no time.

Putting three of them to the test, me and my mum found that the Sunday we decided to play them seemed to fly away, as we lost ourselves in the wonders of them. Some of them definitely needed more players than us two but we had fun giving them a go none the less. Because honestly, you can’t beat a fun day at home with a good board game, which Exploding Kittens has aced with the following…

Fast Friends, £19: Ever wondered whether you and your friends think the same things at the same time? Well, this game wants to prove that you do. Hoping to come out with the same thing as quickly as possible, the game challenges teams to come out with the funniest sayings, all in the hopes of not life tokens. Those with the most remaining at the end win. This is perfect party fun that the whole family can join in with.

No Loyalty, £19: Whilst most games require teams to stick together, this game doesn’t. Moving around throughout, in hopes to get to five tokens first, each challenge makes for a great team building opportunity, making it a perfect game to play at your next dinner party. By the end of the evening, everyone will know each other a whole lot better and little ones will have made lots of new friends.

Row Your Goat (Large Edition), £14: Perfect for famly members of all ages, this game uses knowledge, quick reflexes and skill to make sure that you grab the cards before anyone else. The one with the most wins. Great at making little ones think fast, it is a game that both you and others can play with them to help them build up their cognitive skills during the school holidays in a very fun way.

Exploding Kittens has so many games to choose from on their website and in stores, with lots more due to be released, making them perfect for turning to for family fun. If you are looking for that perfect something to play during the school holidays definitely take a look at their selection! You will be hosting a game night every day of the week during the break if you do so!
