Good Morning Lovelies,

Going to Belfast was something that both me and my mum were excited and a little bit nervous about. However, upon arriving at our hotel, we quickly learnt that we didn’t need to be, as the staff and lodgings at The Flint Hotel in the heart of the city were able to put us right at ease automatically. 

Checking in at 1pm on the 13th July 2026, we were given the keys to our studio apartment, which had a huge king sized bed, with the softest mattress ever, an armchair, gorgeous bathroom with the most perfect rain shower ever and a huge TV on the wall to allow me to watch Fair City and the football in utter luxury. 

The room also had all the cooking facilities which we needed for our trip including a toaster, kettle, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and hobs to cook on. All in the cleanest condition possible, easing my anxiety, eating disorder and AuDHD worries. Plus, there was every utensil that you could think of, which not many hotels with kitchens actually provide.

Although we didn’t plan to spend all day in the room, using it more as a base than anything, we loved spending time within it when we did. Every single part of our studio was comfortable and getting into bed every night was something that actually made us excited. It felt like a little slice of pure heaven in the heart of the city. 

Every day, we were also welcomed back to the hotel by friendly staff, who had not only cleaned and maintained the rooms and overall building but also prepped our lodgings too. Upon arriving, we found fresh milk and refreshments in our room, which was a lovely touch, as well as all the toiletries and towels we could want too. If we had any accidents that meant our clothes had to be cleaned, we were also able to use their laundry facilities for free too. 

Based over a gorgeous bar and restaurant, known as Amelia Hall, there could have been concerns that we were going to be disturbed at night. Yet, we didn’t hear a thing and actually frequented the bar for a late night coffee/tea at times too. The menu was full of Italian classics too, which made me feel like I had taken a little slice of my dad with us too. I know he would have been down in the restaurant eating arancinis every night if he had been there. 

When we were out during the day, we were relieved to find that we had easy access to public transport options, whilst also being within easy walking distance of many of the key sights. City Hall was literally five minutes away, whilst the Titanic Belfast museum was only 20 minutes by bus. We could move around with no problems and often found ourselves dipping in and out to drop off bags or items that we had picked up during the day without losing any time doing so. 

If we needed anything at all, the staff on the front desk were always on hand to help, especially Amie, who was so lovely to us. She was eager to make sure that every part of our stay was delivered perfectly and I am so happy that we got the chance to meet her, as she became like a little friend to us during our stay. She even made sure that our luggage was well stored, allowing us to roam the city for a little longer, on our last day.

Belfast was a completely new city to us, having never been before, yet spending my birthday within it was made perfect by our time at The Flint. Before we had even gone on holiday, they had replied to my emails asking if it would be okay to write this post quickly and in a very friendly manner. 

They were happy to put any issues I had aside and made the whole trip a real joy. When we next head to the city, we will definitely be choosing to stay there again, as I don’t think we could ever find anything that would match up to it. 

They are also super affordable compared to other options available, including cheaper hotel brands, which makes them even more perfect in our eyes. The Flint Hotel is a beautiful place in a beautiful city and we couldn’t recommend it more!
