The Easter Weekend Is Here: Celebrate At Home For Free Here!
00:00:00Good Friday is all about bringing the good times into your home, as it is the official start of the Easter weekend! Whether you are heading out to celebrate at an event or staying home, there is a lot of fun to be had! I for one am all for marking the occasion in a fun but affordable way! Find out how here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
The Easter weekend is here and with it comes a great chance to have a lot of fun! Whether it be an egg hunt or a simple baking session, there is a lot that can be done to make the most of the longer time off. Many of which can be done in the comfort of your home without spending a penny!
A small celebration can become a big event in a matter of minutes by organising and doing one of the following lovelies, as they bring a whole host of festive fun into the home. Gathering items from around the home, you will be able to make Easter memories that will last a lifetime by doing one of these fun activities over the next few days…
Easter Egg Decorating: If you have some eggs lying around your house, decorate them to fit the season. Whether it is by using food colourings or felt pens and stickers, you can make colourful, funny faces or Easter themed eggs that are great for eating and decorating.
Hot Cross Bun Testing: With so many flavours available in supermarkets now, why not host a taste test challenge for all of them? Toast them or eat them as they are with your nearest and dearest over a pot of tea and find your new favourites to enjoy over the following days. Just no fighting for the last one with your loved ones if you pick the same.
Host An Easter Film Night: In our house, my dad would oddly make sure that he was up and ready for the annual TV screening of The Ten Commandments every Easter. Whilst I am not suggesting that you screen this one, find a whole host of Easter themed films, such as Chocolat, Miss Potter, Holidate and more to enjoy over the next few days. It is also the best way to enjoy all the great Easter snacks available right now.
Decorate An Easter Bonnet: When I was in school, we would have to make an Easter bonnet that would then be judged by the teachers. One year, I was lucky enough to win, which probably led to me falling in love with making them or seeing people create them. Gather all the craft items in your home and get everyone to come together with a hat of their choice to decorate. Then get someone in your house to judge it with a big Easter egg up for grabs as the prize for the best one.
Go Out In The Garden: Spring is officially here once Easter arrives, so make the most of the sunshine and spend the weekend potting around in the garden. Whether it be spending time hiding eggs for the little ones to find or simply planting some seasonal plants that will make your green space shine, you will feel a whole lot better once you let that vitamin D affect your system.
Easter is one holiday that oddly brings a sense of calm with it! It is a time for renewal and fun, which is why I love it so much. Whether you are heading out to someone else's home or spending time in your own, I hope that you have endless amounts of fun this Easter weekend!
