Good Morning Lovelies,
There is something so special about getting a Christmas card in the post. When I was little, I used to love popping mine into the letterbox my school would put out. Then, when it came to the final hour of the day, I used to love going to collect the whole classes to hand out to all the students. It would make my day and still does to see them all lined up in our home.
Yet, the cards do come with a bit of sadness, as I always find it hard to get rid of them. However, that no longer has to be the case, as I have found out about an incredible company who have made Christmas cards a thing of the past with their handcrafted designs.
The Wooden Postcard Company uses sustainable systems to make colour-printed wooden postcards that have been sold all over the world including in Kew Gardens, The Crown Estate, Westminster Abbey and more. And this festive season, those designs, which are made using sustainably managed resources, are beautifully Christmas themed.
From gorgeous red robins to festive scenes and Christmas Trees, the company has thought of every scenario that we may want to gift or send to our nearest and dearest. Having kindly sent me some to trial, I instantly fell in love with them and didn’t want to send them. I wanted to put them out on display and show them off.
Thick and completely and utterly worthy of being shown off every single year, they are a card that the recipient can keep and use again and again. Something that not many paper versions can do. Plus, they are super affordable, at £3.95 each, which may seem a lot but when you look at the cost of some cards nowadays, it can actually be cheaper.
One element that I really loved though was the nostalgic nature of the cards. They gave me a real sense of childhood happiness that I couldn’t imagine feeling from a paper card. I wish that we had been able to send postcards like this in the school hall, as I know that my mum would have saved them for me to look back at as an adult.
If you are looking for something a little bit more magical to send to someone this Christmas then look no further than these postcards. Any design that you could want they have. Any chance to help the planet then you should do it. This Christmas, if you use one new brand, make it The Wooden Postcard Company lovelies, they are truly the star on top of the festive tree!
