As Christmas approaches, the need to wear our festive finest is soaring! In our house, we love a stylish top that we can take from day to night. Good Morning Lovelies, 

If you were to look through mine and my mum’s wardrobe, you would find lots of graphic tees. We are a family that runs on a fancy pattern and a top slogan, a fact that we keep going all year round but especially at Christmas. 

Therefore, when I heard about the fantastic brand Subtletee, I was very intrigued to see and learn more about them to share with you all. Created with little hidden messages behind them, each t-shirt has a story to tell, many of which about the bonds between mother and daughter.

As someone who is incredibly close to my mum, I always love the idea of matching with her. Especially at Christmas time, when we always have the same patterned PJs and cosy jumpers to don when we head out or cosy up indoors with a festive film. Looking at the tops that Subtletee makes, there were many of them that I instantly knew my mum would love and so after kindly being given their festive collection and more, we put them to the test. 

Super thick and warm, they were perfect for those colder days, helping to keep out the chill. The little messages in the collars were a wonderful addition and every time we popped on a top with them in, we smiled. The brand doesn’t just do this with their festive range though, as they have loads of other wonderful pieces that include the same works of art.

Mistletoe Blessing Tee, £20: Whether your mum gets a kiss or not whilst wearing this top is something that we will find out, these beautiful flowers make a subtle but stylish addition to any outfit. Perfect paired with black fancy trousers and a sequined jacket, the top really pops, making it a great piece to wear at a fancy Christmas dinner, party or even cosy night in. 

Hands That Held Me Tee, £20: Anyone who has a close bond with their mum should give them this top! With the most beautiful imagery on the chest, it shows a gorgeous floral pattern that makes up the heart of the graphic and why you may be gifted the person you give it to. My mum actually held this in her hands when she was first given it, as she loved the name of it and what it symbolised. This is the most meaningful gift you could give a mama style icon this Christmas.

Robin Tee, £20: Robin’s mean a lot to us in our house, as we always say that when we see one it is my dad. Having a robin so close to her heart made my mum feel amazing, as she felt like she was treasuring my dad. Plus, with the added love filled message in the neck of the top, she really embraced it as a sign of how much my dad loved her. To be able to give her this top really was special to me. 

Poppy Tee, £20: Created to mark a birthday month, this poppy tee fitted in perfectly with November, when my mum wore it to mark Remembrance Sunday. Super soft and subtle, there is a hidden message with a lot of meaning in the collar of the top that highlights the love that should be felt by those wearing it. The subtle flower makes a big impact when put with cosy leggings or fashionable jeans. 

Merry Christmas Baubles Tee, £20: No Christmas tree would be complete without its baubles and this tee wouldn’t be complete without them too. The little Merry Christmas wording makes a big impact, especially if worn before December hits! Donning this on an outing recently, I found a few people smiling at the little hint of Christmas it gave them. If you don’t like something too big and sparkly but want to mark the festive season then this is the top to get. 

Subtletee is a brand that I hadn’t heard of before but I am so thankful that they have entered my life! Gifting my mum the range, she was seriously in awe at the way that they touched her and the subtle messaging made her feel even more special when wearing the pieces. I found the soft textures were so comforting on my skin too and when we wore our tees together, I felt like we were celebrating in style together.
