00:00:00

With bonfires and fireworks lighting up the cold nights, November is the perfect month to stay in and get cosy with a great book! Picking ten must-reads for my display at Hertford Library has been a lot of fun, due to the changing of the seasons! Discover what I have picked for you all to enjoy whilst all cosied up this month here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

November has always been a bit of a transitional month for me. Away go the Halloween decorations and out come the plans for Christmas. At the end of the month, I will be putting up my festive displays, which I have no doubt will be influenced by the settings I read in the books I have chosen for my display at Hertford Library.

Over the course of the last month, I have really got stuck into some great festive reads, which I wanted to share with you all. Bookmarks at the ready for these fantastic new worlds…

Book of the Month - Holiday Ever After by Hannah Grace: Known for her fantastic sporting romances, Grace is back with a festive story that will light up your Christmas! Read this to help you get into the festive spirit before December arrives.

The Arctic Curry Club by Dani Redd: How would you feel if you were asked to move to the Arctic? For many of us, it would be a tough decision whether to go or not. However, in this book, our leading lady takes the opportunity, allowing herself to meet new people, discover her true self and see a real wonder of the world. Get ready to want to pack your bags up after this one.

Katabasis by R.F. Kuang: The hit author behind the best-selling Yellowface is back with a new fantasy based story. With twists and turns galore, you will be left guessing what will happen right up until the end.

How To Age Disgracefully by Clare Pooley: As we begin to plan for the new year, discover why obeying the rules is so old school. Pooley captures a fun character who teaches us all how to live a little bit more every day. New Year’s resolutions will be thrown out the window upon finishing this one.

Taste by Stanley Tucci: Autumn and winter are the most perfect seasons to get stuck into cooking and Tucci knows just the recipes to provide us with. Inspired by his own life and the challenges he has faced, each dish provides a warming sensation, as does each page of his amazing story.

Sunshine On The Reaping by Suzanne Collins: In a year's time, many of us will be heading to the cinema to see this book’s live action retelling. Whilst we wait, fall into the world of Haymitch and his incredible story before you see it.

One Of Us by Elizabeth Day: Known for teaching us all how to be proud of our failures, the latest novel from this podcasting superstar is heartwarming, inspiring and a delight to read. Day is inspiring us all to embrace who we really are with her lovable characters.

First Time Caller by B.K. Borison: If you love Sleepless in Seattle, then you are going to love this! Giving off a cosy autumn feel, you will love the way the two leads fall for each other over hidden radio messages and chance encounters.

The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick: One of the best books I have ever read, this life changing read will show you that everything is possible. After a stay in hospital, leading character Pat decides to turn his life around in hopes to win back his wife. Yet, what he actually finds happening to him ends up being so much better.

All Wrapped Up by Heidi Swain: Get your Christmas reading started early with this new romance from the queen of seasonal romances. From an unexpected meeting to a cosy cottage covered in Christmas decor and snow, your heart will be bursting with happiness upon reading this, as it prepares for December.

The Comfort Food Cafe by Debbie Johnson: Autumn is the season of the coffee shop. This book may transport us to a fictional world but it also allows for the best companionship in your local coffee shop. Or whilst snuggled up under a cosy blanket at home!

What is on your November reading list lovelies? If you fancy one of these great reads, head to Hertford Library, where they are out on display, or to your local one to discover them. They are also out in many book shops or online too. I hope you have an amazing November reading session!
