Happy Halloween Lovelies! Let's Celebrate With Some Fearsome Facts!
00:00:00Happy Halloween Lovelies! The scariest day of the year has landed and to mark it I thought I would share some interesting facts that I have recently learnt about that you may not know! Definitely more of a treat than a trick, these little chunks of information will be able to keep not only you but all those you meet tonight very entertained!
Good Morning Lovelies,
A very very happy Halloween to you all! I hope that you haven’t been too scared today, as I wish you only fun during the spooky activities that you may be enjoying today. I will be spending the evening binging on horror films and shows to give myself the ultimate chills, whilst listening out for all the trick or treaters that may come to my door.
Whilst I won’t be able to gift you all the little sweets that we have got in our house, I am hoping that these little bits of Halloween delight will be sweet enough. As someone who loves a fact, I have spent the last few weeks seeking out facts that you may not have known about today to share with you all.
Get ready to be treated to a whole host of Halloween history with these ghoulish facts that are a bit unusual but super fun to know…
Hidden Knives In Germany: On Halloween, people in Germany hide all the knives in their homes to prevent the spirits returning to them from harming themselves. If they don’t, they may get haunted by those harmed.
Gifts For Children In Sicily: As the child of a Sicilian, I was overjoyed by this fact. Much like a gift from Santa, on Halloween in Sicily, children often wake up to little gifts from the returning spirits of their relatives.
Fortune Telling Foods In Ireland: Since Halloween started in Ireland, it has been a tradition for gifts to be hidden in a traditional barmbrack loaf, with the fortune of those who find them being told. These gifts can include a ring for marriage, a coin for wealth and even a rag for bad luck.
Revealing Spouses With Apples In The UK: Years ago, many people in the UK would throw apples over their shoulders to find out the initials of their spouses. It was believed that the cracks that would form on the apples after being thrown would spell it out.
The Halloween Capital Is In The US: Whilst Halloween may have started in Ireland, the capital of the holiday can be found in the US. Anoka, Minnesota celebrates the festivities for a full week and has done so since the 1920s, when they made it a civil celebration through organised events.
Do you know a fun Halloween fact? Please share it with us in the comments below, as I would love to keep the little treats going! Grab some sweets lovelies and share them on this spooky Halloween! Have a great time lovelies!
