00:00:00

Back with a bang, The Bad Guys are returning in a fantastic sequel, which brings even more mischief, thievery and fun! Enjoyable for the whole family to watch, there isn’t a moment that won’t keep the family as entertained as the original. Today marks the release of the film on DVD and Blu-Ray, making it the perfect time to share our exciting review!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Back in 2022, the world went wild for The Bad Guys. A very underrated animation that brought a whole lot of fun into every family and home that watched it. Telling the story of a bunch of thieves, seeking to take on the ultimate heist, it brought catchy songs and unforgettable moments into our lives. Something that encouraged a sequel released earlier this year.

Using iconic jokes that every dad will use for years to come, the sequel takes on a new tale of morality, as the characters, including Sam Rockwell’s Wolf, Snake, Tarantula and Piranha, struggle to deal with life after prison. Trying to build a better life for themselves, the team soon find that it is harder to live in the real world than it seems. All of which causing them to go back to their criminal ways.

Taking on quite an adult based theme makes this film a one of a kind in terms of being family focused. The main sources of the story are not for kids. The film is of course made for them but much like Inside Out, the whole story focuses on telling the adults in the film that it is okay to not be okay. Whilst the main base of the story will pass by children, they will stick with the adults watching alongside them.

This is presented through the beautiful animation that the crew have created. The graphics are even better than the first and the characters seem more real than the original due to the beauty of their design.

With such a wonderful way of explaining hard topics, gorgeous graphics and unforgettable characters, who have a fantastic presence on screen, The Bad Guys 2 is a fantastic sequel that all at Dreamworks can be proud of. Whilst the characters might be bad, the film definitely isn’t, making it a perfect winter watch!
