Blogmas Day Five: My Christmas Day 2025 Shopping List

00:05:00

Planning our Christmas dinner has to happen early in my life! Struggling to know what to eat and what to buy is always something in my mind, as my eating disorder causes me to struggle to enjoy what many others will be doing at this time of year! To help me, I’ve made a shopping list! Find out what is on it here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Have you done any of your Christmas food shopping yet? For me, the planning of what to put onto our family is quite a big deal. Having struggled with an eating disorder for a long time, I have always worked hard to make sure that I have a meal similar to my family. I want to feel like I am able to conquer something inside of me and I so far have been able to do so.

From around October, we have been making a list as to what we need and what we will be including in the main meal and little picky teas afterwards. Creating a list early on allows for me to get my head around the items on it early. This means that when the big day arrives, I don’t worry as much about what we will be eating, as I know what to expect on my plate.

To mark the fifth day of Blogmas, I thought I would share with you all what we have put on our list so far. The following could still change with items being added or removed but for now this is what we will be zooming up and down the aisles buying…

Potatoes (For Mash)

Reduced Salt Bisto Beef Gravy

Fresh Brussel Sprouts

Fresh Carrots

Fresh Broccoli

Fresh Parsnips

Mini Baby Potatoes (For Mini Roasties)

Asda Extra Special Roasted Garlic, Sage & Red Onion Stuffing

Bread Sauce (Any Make)

Fresh Swede

Fresh Butternut

Turkey (For Mum)

Yorkshire Puddings (For Mum)

Roasted Chestnuts (For Mum)

Buffet Bits (For Mum)

We also buy a few extras in case we have guests come round, including biscuits and sweets, but mostly, we will be sticking to these bits and bobs for now. I will be sure to share my full Christmas day menu plans with you all very soon.

What will you be making sure is on your festive shopping list lovelies? Let me know!
