Five Ways To Pick Yourself Up On A Bad Day
00:00:00Getting through a tough day is hard! It seems like I have had many recently but I’m proud of myself for just coping the best that I can throughout! This has taught me a lot about the strength I have, as well as allowing me to learn some techniques I can use to motivation myself, which I thought I would share with you!
Good Morning Lovelies,
As I write this I am so very tired. Not the I need to sleep tiredness. No, the kind where I am just tired from the emotional toll that the day has brought. From the moment I woke up, I felt odd. Lonely, sad and teary. In fact, I’ve cried many times already. Yet, I managed to get myself out of bed, washed and up ready to face what the day brings.
Due to health issues, I’ve had so much on my shoulders recently that I fear what the results may be. This never ending battle is one that has really left me wondering what I can do to brighten my day.
And so, I thought I would share with you all what I am doing to help me get through. Here are five things I do to cheer myself up on an emotional day…
Watch Or Listen To Your Favourite Things: When I feel a bit blurgh, I like to pop on my headphones or ask my Alexa to play my favourite music, radio stations or podcasts. I find listening to others is a huge help. The same is true for TV shows, as you can’t beat the feel good vibes that a great box set brings.
Take Up A New Hobby: If it is time that is not on your side then take five minutes to come up or to take part in a new or loved hobby can really help your mental health. Whether I am reading, baking or doing some diamond art pieces, I feel better and time seems to go a little quicker if I am bored and the voices start to annoy me.
Rest If You Need To: Sleep is something I am trying to prioritise at the moment. Learning to rest and appreciate the repair my body is going through is all new to me but the benefits of it have been amazing.
Wear Your Favourite Fragrance: I have probably said this many of times on the blog but I truly believe that a spritz of your favourite perfume can make all the difference! I feel more put together when I have a bit of perfume on. As soon as that scent hits me, I feel better and I am sure you will too.
Talk To Someone: My mum is my biggest support and we can talk about anything and everything together. I’m so very lucky to have her, however, I have also turned to local services for help too. When I’ve felt sad, lost or not sure who to turn to, I have used the Samaritans and Mind. Never be afraid to reach out to them lovelies, they are incredible and we should be so thankful to have them. You can also always comment on the blog and I will always be here to chat!
Everyone is different and going through something lovelies and I want you all to know that that is okay. We are only human after all. I hope that these little tips can help you a little bit if you are feeling low! Rest, discussions and love, is all you need!
