Five Ways To Beat Those Post Birthday/Holiday Blues
00:00:00Holidays, birthdays, get togethers, all of which can be very tiring! Yet, they can also bring a sense of sadness with them when they are over! Beat the holiday blues by following these easy tips that will make those hard days after you come home or the party ends a whole lot easier! You will be feeling better in no time at all!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Upon coming home from holiday, the birthday blues have really set in. I didn’t want to come home, as Dublin is the place that owns my heart and soul. Yet, normalcy is to be resumed and it’s made me a little bit sad! There so, I thought I would share some tips that I follow to help me get back into a better mood and pattern.
They are super easy, hopefully a little bit fun and something to make those blues disappear a little bit. It’s time to revive the party lovelies…
Prepare Your Diary: Schedule in an activity for the following weekend or days after your trip lovelies to give yourself something to look forward to. It doesn’t have to be anything big. It could even be just a trip to your local supermarket to buy your favourite dinner. Knowing that you have something to do can keep those celebrations going.
Create A Scrapbook Or Birthday Box: If you are like me then you will love collecting little Knick knacks from a trip. Postcards, shells, tickets, maps, I keep them all. This year, I’m going to build a box and keep it as a memory for when I want a pick me up. Something you lovelies can do to. I may add a squirt of the perfume I wore when there into it too, so when I open it I get transported back.
Leave A Surprise For When You Get Back: Don’t let the birthday presents stop when you get home. Leave a little present for yourself that you can look forward to opening when you get back. A little treat can go a long way!
Wash And Put Everything Away ASAP: Don’t leave everything in your suitcase lovelies! Start to get back to normal right away by unpacking, washing and putting away everything in your suitcase. Being organised can help you feel better, as you can then start planning your next trip without the worries of having to think about emptying the old memories out. Plus, if you are planning a winter ski trip that summer bikini may not be necessary.
Have A Rest Day: If the blues are really hitting lovelies then have a rest day! Stay in bed and watch your favourite comfort films or TV shows. Order in your best takeaways. Get in a warm bath and soak the blues away. Sleep. Going away and birthdays can be tiring, so do what you need to do to feel better!
Oddly, the first thing I have planned, is the food shop and then an eye test at Costco. Nothing more like an appointment to throw you back into normalcy aha! I do love a bit of a schedule though! Especially when I can pop a trip into it! Roll on December I say!
