Good Morning Lovelies, 

My dad was and always will be one of the greatest people in my life. I would give anything and everything to be with him again. I have come to terms with my grief now, as it is evidence of the love that I felt for him. I will never forget the way his hugs felt or the loving words and encouragement he gave to me, my mum and my brother and his family. 

Recently, though, I have been struggling to come to terms that he has been gone five years this November. I’ve been trying to think of ways to make a mark on the day. From tattoos to holidays back to his homeland. I feel like I need to fully embrace him on this big day. 

With so much uncertainty of what to do, I was therefore honoured when the brand Emily’s Jewellery asked if I would like to collaborate with them. Working together on something special, the team offered me the chance to design my own engraved piece that they were happy to make me. 

Having recently found an old workplace card of my dad’s, with his signature on it, I asked them if it would be possible to place that on a necklace. In a matter of minutes, they had got everything set up and after picking a colour for the chain and charm, they had completed it. When presented with the image of the final product, I won’t lie, I cried. Before sending the picture to all my family. 

I was in utter awe at the work they had done. It was like my dad had written it onto the gold metal himself. Sending it to me quickly, when it arrived, I felt instant love. The chain was adjustable, with a great amount of length, making it perfect to adjust it to sit right by my heart. A place that my dad will always be. 

When my mum saw it on me, she asked me how much the piece would be if she were to buy one. Upon telling her that it would be £28, with £3.95 for delivery, she was shocked. She expected me to tell her that it was going to be a lot more money due to the fantastic quality and craftsmanship that had gone into it. Something my brother also claimed when he asked me about making one for my nephew. 

Emily’s Jewellery are a brand that have changed mine and my family’s life. All of us are now going to have a matching piece to remember the most important man in our lives.
