My New Monthly Ritual That Is Giving Me Life!
00:00:00Once a month, I have started something fun with my mum, which has completely changed my life! It’s something I have struggled to do for years, however, with the help and guidance of my team and my mum, I have been able to achieve a big goal in my life and I am forever thankful for it! Find out what it is right here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Ever since I was little, I have found nothing more soothing than getting into bed and snuggling up to watch a good film with my mum. I have so many memories of us watching classic romance films, like Bridget Jones together. She was the last person I went to the cinema with and will always be my favourite film team mate.
Yet, due to my illnesses, I struggle to sit or lie down for too long now, as I find it painful and uncomfortable. Plus, the annoying ED voice in my head makes me out to be lazy or not good enough when I do spend more time in bed or on the sofa. However, after severe burn out and stress last year, I decided to try and shut that idiot out and enjoy film days with my mum again.
Now, once a month, we gather in her bed and watch a classic or a new film that we have either never seen or want to show the other. At the moment, we have only had two film afternoons, where I showed her The Hunger Games and then both watched Coco for the first time. Both events have been amazing and even though I find it tough, I love these afternoons so much.
I see the days as my day to rejuvenate myself! To not listen to that voice abd to make memories with my family instead. I hope that the next one we have falls when my whole family are around, as I would love to see us all bundled up in our PJs in my mum’s little double bed.
If you need some encouragement right now lovelies to take those little moments, please see this as a little sign to do it. That voice is a demon I know. Believe me, I really know. Yet, those memories and special moments are worth more than that. They are little bits of life and I hope you can live them lovelies!
Now, I need your help! What suggestions do you have for what we should watch next? Don’t any of you dare say Fifty Shades aha!
