Good Morning Lovelies, 

For years, I have spotted the amazing Cantu in stores all over the place, however, I wasn’t sure if it was suitable for my hair. However, I have quickly learnt that those fears should never have been, as the brand is one that has been made for all. And it definitely proved that to me! 

After kindly reaching out to me, the team behind the brand sent me a whole host of brushes and styling products to put to the test. From bristle brushes to detangling combs, every situation that my hair may face was covered. Whether it be whilst in the shower or styling afterwards, the team has thought of every single scenario to make sure our hair is never damaged again. 

With thin hair, that was once thick, due to many illnesses and a mother who has suffered hair loss and thinning due to the menopause, we were both eager to put each brush to the test. Whilst I took on the bigger barrel ones, my mum used the combs to get a softer finish.

Starting my Cantu haircare journey by sleeping in their satin bonnet, I found I had less frizz to handle the next morning, which is always a win. Heading into the shower, my hair was easier to tame when washing. With wild locks, I took the detangling brush, which has flexible arms to it, to help comb and style my hair into its usual plaits. Sliding through, I didn’t have any flyaways like normal and the time it took was easily cut in half. My hair stayed pretty perfect for the rest of the day, as if the comb had locked it down, which I was very happy about. 

My positive journey was matched with my mum’s, who absolutely loved the combs. There was no pulling or knotting. The hair loss was minimal. And even when she tried the more bristle based items, she found that they really stimulated her scalp too, helping to encourage growth. 

With so many brushes to try, I will admit that we didn’t get to try them all, but we definitely will. Especially when it comes to the detangling ones, which I am obsessed with. If you get any of them lovelies, you have to get the detangling kind! You won’t regret it! In fact, if you need a new brush, no matter what kind of hair you have, go with Cantu! You won’t be disappointed!
