Are you stuck in a bit of a panic worrying about what you should make on Valentine’s Day for breakfast lovely? Want to make the most perfect lunch for yourself or loved ones? Or maybe you are finding the idea of coming up with a starter for dinner hard? Luckily, I have the so,union for you lovelies! 

After getting rave reviews for their previous sourdough products, Robert Andrew have extended their collection to feature some of the most innovative bread based items on the market right now. And luckily I was able to test them, along with my loved ones, to tell you whether they are worth it or not. 

Upon receiving the items, we were kindly gifted some of their new croissants, which had 60% less sugar than the normal kind, a low-carb white half bloomer and some, sourdough white rolls. Plus, we also found some amazing spreads in the box too, including a tomato bruschetta spread and an aubergine with grilled pepper one too.

Both my mum and I decided that this was going to be a daylong trial, so after sleeping on our decision, we put the items to the test the day after receiving them. Starting with the croissants, my mum stated that they looked like they would be best warmed up.

Slicing them open, she popped them under the grill for a few moments before the now golden wonders came out. Spreading a thick layer of apricot jam into the middle of them, she moaned right away after taking her first bite. Unlike how they may have seemed, they were super crunchy and a massive rival to other shops. These would definitely present a loving breakfast on the big day. 

Later on, around lunchtime, we decided to try the rolls next. Popping in some rich butter, ham and cheese, we took the rolls with us on a winter walk. Super soft, full of taste and an enhancer to the added ingredients, we both said that if we got these in our lunchboxes on the big day we would both feel very special. 

Finally, it was time to put the bloomer and the spreads to the test. Deciding on using them as a starter piece, we popped a few slices of the bread, halved, into the toaster to crunch up. Then upon finishing, we slathered thick layers of each spread onto them to have before our main meal. Both spreads were so refreshing that we both declared that they would be absolutely delicious on a hot summers day. The bread as always was amazing, making it a new firm favourite in our household.
