Good Morning Lovelies,

Christmas is all about the stars in our lives and celebrating them! Whether they be the people we know, the twinkling lights that we put up or the bakes we make, stars are ultimately key at this time of year! Therefore, I had to share this easy to make recipe that features the twinkly joy of them with you all!

Get ready to make these chocolate and jam Christmas stars over and over again in the lead up, on the day and even after the big festive celebrations. They are definitely a joy to behold. Find out how to make them below…

Ingredients

One Sheet of Ready Rolled Puff Pastry

50 Grams of Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips

Four Tablespoons of Your Favourite Jam

One Egg

Tools

A Baking Tray

Baking Paper

Star Biscuit Cutter

A Teaspoon

A Fork

A Small Mixing Bowl

A Pastry Brush

Method

Start by preheating your oven to 200°C or 400°F before lining a baking tray with baking paper.

Roll out your puff pastry from its container and use a star shaped cutter to create the pastry shapes. You should make around about eight depending on the size of your pastry.

In the middle of one half of the pastry, place a small teaspoon amount of jam. Then add a few chocolate chips onto the top of the jam before covering the base star with another star.

Using a fork, press around the stars to help seal the edges. Repeat until all the stars have been used.

Taking a small bowl, beat the egg in it with the fork, before using a pastry brush to lightly brush over the stars to help get that golden colour upon cooking.

Place into the oven and cook for 12-15 minutes or until puffed up and golden. Once ready remove from the oven and leave to cool on the tray for a few minutes.

Serve them warm or cool with a slight dusting of powdered sugar, melted chocolate drizzles or on their own.

Who has been your star this year? Why not bake them some of these delicious stars as a gift lovelies! Or keep them all to yourselves! I’m all in for both options aha!
