Blogmas Day 13: Five New Christmas Films To Watch This Year

00:00:00

Christmas films are the best! There I have said it! Since early September, I have been watching the cheesy Hallmark kind, patiently waiting for it to be okay to watch the best of the bunch! However, they are going to have some tough competition this year lovelies, as there are going to be plenty of new ones to enjoy! Here are my favourites!

Good Morning Lovelies,

I cannot wait to break out the best Christmas films ever made lovelies! In fact, I won’t lie, I already have done! Since September if I am totally honest! I am the kind of person who can happily watch them all year round, as it peaks my excitement for the next Christmas.

This year though, I am battling the old beautiful ones up against some new features that are making their way onto our screens. Below are five films that I definitely think you all have to watch this December lovelies, even if it is only to keep on top of all the discussions about them! The big five are…

The Merry Gentlemen, Netflix: Chad Michael Murray appears in this comedy feature from Netflix, as they give a new take on the Christmas films we know. Expect a Magic Mike type story but with a lot more laughs than the first one.

Our Little Secret, Netflix: Lindsay Lohan returns to Netflix this Christmas to give us another comedy serving. Telling the story of how two exes face spending the holidays together, after discovering their new partners are related, you can expect a lot of mischief with this one lovelies.

The Boy & The Octopus, Disney Plus: When I say that this four minute feature made me super emotional I mean it! I don’t cry very often at films, but this one made me do so. Featuring a little boy who befriends an Octopus, the two begin to experience the festive season in a refreshing way. It will make you fall in love with Christmas all over again.

Carry On, Netflix: If you are more of a Die Hard type of Christmas film fan than this one is for you! Starring Taron Egerton, it sees his airport security agent having to save the passengers after a dangerous bag makes its way onto a flight by accident.

That Christmas, Netflix: Fresh from Richard Curtis, this animation sees a bunch of stories come together to tell the realities of Christmas in a family friendly way. With an all-star cast voicing the characters, you are not going to want to miss this one!

What new Christmas film will you be watching this year lovelies? Or will you stick to the classics? Let me know!
