The Little Bloggers Review The National Football Museum!
00:00:00The biggest sport in the world is definitely football! Whilst I’m a massive fan of all sports, there are not many who have a whole museum dedicated to them, like football does! Based in Manchester, the National Football Museum is a hub of true wonder, which was why I had to send my football obsessed little bloggers along to really check it out!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Football is the beating heart of my family! From a young age, I witnessed my dad religiously watching, shouting, sometimes crying and often asking us to leave him alone to watch the big game. Tense moments leading to horror. Winning wonders leading to huge celebrations. Honestly, I saw how much the big game left its mark on us all.
Even years on, the amount of love for the sport is being passed onto the younger members of our family, including my brother and nephew, who are just as in love with it as my dad. Therefore, when I was offered the chance to pop along to the National Football Museum to celebrate the game, I had to get him to come along to enjoy it.
Along with one of his best friend’s Noah, my brother and his girlfriend Jas, the boys took in the wonders of the game from the moment they entered the building. Classic pieces of memorabilia and merchandise were on display straight away, many kept behind glass to preserve their beauty.
Full of facts, the museum highlighted in every room how inclusive the big game is become, with everyone welcome to take part and enjoy it. Huge paintings marked the walls, whilst historic quotes from footballing legends were dotted around the room. All inspiring a younger generation to delve deeper.
Each room has historic elements that help to teach them as much as they can, whilst also marking big changes in the spot that modern fans are thankful for. Currently, the museum is celebrating the black figures in football, having also created a beautiful exhibit too to the female heroes of football. Both exhibits showed just how far we have come, as well as highlighting the work we have left to do to make sure that inclusivity continues to grow in the game.
Moving from one room to the next, there were also chances to get hands on with many of the relics. Two huge pieces being the FA Cup and Premier League trophies that local teams have won. Seeing the wonders in the little bloggers eyes at being a let get up close and personal to them made the whole day a dream.
The little bloggers could also experience other interactive moments, including lots of games and a chance to commentate on Match of the Day with Gary Lineker, which my brother found a lot of joy doing. However, I have to say that I don’t think Gary has anything to worry about.
Overall, the National Football Museum is a fantastic place for the whole family. Whether you are a football fan or not, there is so much to take in and learn from that you can’t help but walk away feeling happy. For such an incredible price, which includes entry for the rest of the year, the money is definitely well spent, as the memories are honestly going to be ever lasting! It’s time to get your head in the game!
