Hair is a thing that many of us take for granted! It’s either long or short! A colour we want or desire! But ultimately it is what makes us us! Thankfully, when we sadly lose it, there are some incredible companies who help to make the most beautiful hair pieces to help, including the wonderful Irresistible Me, who helped me make a difference!

With Halloween having been and gone for another year, you may wonder what wigs will be needed for. However, they are not just a piece to dress up in but also a lifeline for many. Over the years, my hair has thinned a lot due to the number of conditions and medicines I have been placed on. This really upset me and I felt lost without that part of my identity! 

It’s not just me who felt or feels this way though, as many suffer in the same way. However, thankfully there are a number of companies who are helping others to feel more confident again, as they provide fashionable looks for all. Including the fantastic Irresistible Me!

In the past, I was fortunate to try one of their brunette wigs, which I actual wore out when I wanted styled hair that my natural locks couldn’t achieve. And boy did I feel good in it! 

Recently, the team got back in touch and offered me the chance to try another wig. I decided this time to pick one that I would never normally go for. In my local town, there is Lister Hospital,who has a dedicated additional hospital and specialist Macmillan ward that cares for patients during their cancer treatments. Including helping them find NHS services to help find wigs and hair pieces during their care. I have always admired the work they do, so when I got in touch with them regarding the wig I was sent, they were happy to advise me on how it could be given to help another. 

I didn’t want any money, as I had kindly been gifted the wig. I just wanted it to be done in honour of my dad. A man who always took pride in how his hair was and who I inherited my Italian locks from. The team were happy to help, advising me to write a recovery letter that could be placed in the box for the person who received the wig to receive. 

They were going to store the wig for someone who couldn’t afford to buy a wig and that warmed my heart. Knowing that someone would have their life changed for the better was something I was proud of and know that Irresistible Me would be too. The beautiful red wig, which was so smooth and luscious, would be donned by a person who truly loved it and honestly, what more could you want!

Donating the wig was one of the proudest things I have done and I hope to hear from the person who receives it in the future. Irresistible Me are a brand that they can feel proud wearing because they are the real ones who have made a difference.
