Growing up, I was a huge fan of collectable cards! From Yu Gi Oh to Pokémon, I simply loved trading my decks with friends or opening a pack to find a rare one! This love has continued into my adulthood, as I share my collecting and playing joy with my nephew! There so, you can imagine the love I have for Disney Lorcana!

It’s been over a year since I was first introduced to this game, however, it has remained in a magic place in my heart! Fresh from Ravensburger, Disney Lorcana is the new trading game, which brings lore, fantasy and wonder to life! And once you get playing you end up hooked! 

Perfect to be played throughout the festive season, the game comes with a beginners board to help you understand how to play. Once you are more established, there are then tons of extra packs to collect, full of wonderful Disney characters that we all know and love. Including the new Shimmering Skies set. 

Having played a number of times now, I can tell you all that Disney Lorcana is a game that can be enjoyed for hours, meaning those days that you don’t even know what they are over Christmas can be spent with this. Made for two players, me and my mum put it to the test to prove this and we both loved it. 

I will admit that it did take a while for us to get it to begin with but once we did we were in. Trading cards all over the weekend that we started playing it, we became obsessed with discussing which character had the most power and which deck was better. We even decided to sit and sort through each card to see their individual powers. Dedicated was an understatement! 

We have even decided to gift a set to my nephew, as I know that he will become as hooked as we are. He loves to collect and put cards into albums too, which these decks could have done with them, as they are truly stunning as well. They look very worthy of becoming an album feature. Especially the metallic looking ones, which we all thought looked incredible. 

For a Christmas gift this year, you could not go wrong! Affordable, fun and family focused, you won’t be able to stop playing this or wanting your own version of it that you don’t have to give away. Board games don’t have to be boring or traditional anymore. They can be endlessly Disney filled fun with Disney Lorcana. It’s truly time to deck the halls this festive season with these cards!
