With those autumn feels hitting, I am so ready to embrace the wonders of walking in the rain! However, I’m not ready to give up my Crocs, which I have fallen for this summer! Luckily, the brand, Hemy, has created the ultimate pair of socks to solve this problem! Super comfy, waterproof and easy to slip on, these will be perfect in winter!

Every day, I like to go out for a walk. Sometimes it is into my local town, other times it is just around my village. Therefore, when it comes to heading out, I like to make sure my feet are safe and secure from all the elements. Heat. Water. Bugs. Dirt. You name it, I don’t want my feet near it. 

Yet, in the summer, this is quite hard to prevent, as the more open facing shoes see, to attract every rock or piece of grit possible. Just the over day, I swear my Crocs picked up more grass and sticks than were on the trees. This fact is only going to get harder in the winter, when water and potentially snow is added to the mix.

Whilst I will probably transition into boots during the cold months, I want to try and continue to wear my Crocs as much as possible, as they have really helped my feet. There so, when the team at Hemy contacted me to find out more and to try their waterproof socks, I was excited. 

After providing the team with my size, the items landed quickly on my doorstep. Opening the parcel, you could feel that these socks are made to be different. With 100% waterproof, plus sand and mud protection too, the dark coloured socks are very thick. However, they are made from a material that I found didn’t overwhelm my feet. They still felt like they were able to breathe when I put them on for the first time. 

Known for helping to protect feet during gardening, work, hikes, fishing, sports, biking and general outdoor adventures, though not swimming or showering, the socks slid my feet easily into my shoes. With a silky like nature to them, my whole foot felt supported, as the padded texture gave them extra support and functionality. 

Heading outside, it wasn’t raining, however, it had been the night before, leaving puddles in its wake. Normally, this would mean that my feet and socks were going to bringing in every element possible. Yet, I didn’t feel a thing in the socks. I walked around my town with ease, even in the hot weather. 

When I came home, I was expecting to see a lot of debris on them, but there was nothing. They had no odour on them even, as the ant-bacterial nature of them protected the outdoor elements from harming them in all ways. 

Whilst I haven’t tried these with my winter boots, I feel that they would add an extra sense of warmth in the freezing months. I’m hoping to wear Dr. Martins this year, which I’ve heard can be quite heavy and uncomfortable at first, so I hope that these will stop any blisters forming too. I have a lot of faith that they will do to be honest. 

I wasn’t aware of Hemy before they contacted me, but I am really glad they did. I wouldn’t normally spend £23.99 on some socks, however, I feel like these will truly stand the test of time. They are an investment worth making! With winter coming our way, we can be safe and never sorry that Hemy are going to fix all those normal feet worries.
