I can’t quite believe it! Today, my nephew turns 9 and it’s such a scary thing! I can remember him being born, my brother ringing us to celebrate. He was so happy to find out that he was having a little boy, who is no longer little! To mark his birthday, I wanted to pop on here and write him a little message!

Good Morning Lovelies, 

Our little Leo is turning nine today! He is the youngest Tamburello in our family but as small as he may be, he is doing amazing things! I’ve seen him grow into a wonderful character, who is football obsessed, a superstar at school and the best big brother to his little sister. 

Last year, my heart exploded with joy and sadness when I witnessed him do something. Dropping him off at school, we watched him jump out the car and run into the playground. I couldn’t get over that he was now old enough to do this. Honestly, where has the time gone. My mum felt the same way and I know my dad would have too. 

He was my dad’s best friend and my dad his. Every time they visited, they would spend hours playing cars, watching cartoons and being obsessed with each other. He was my dad’s pride and joy. When my dad passed, it destroyed my nephew, even at a young age. 

However, as time has gone by, I’ve seen my nephew grow up and want to make him proud. Even today, I know he will tell me something that he is doing to remember his grandad. 

I can’t wait to see him celebrating! I love all my nieces and nephew the same and each year I see them grow is an honour. Little Leo is the third one out of the bunch but still as mighty. 

Leo, if you read this, I can’t wait to see how you celebrate your birthday today! I’m so proud of you! You are not just a superstar at school but in our lives too. It’s time to party hard, so let’s get it started!
