Celebrate With These Easy Funfetti Birthday Cookies!
00:00:00The last birthday of the year in our family is upon! My gorgeous niece Lucy is having hers today! To mark the big 16th celebration, I thought I would mark it with a fun birthday inspired recipe that only requires four simple food cupboard staples to make them! Be prepared to eat a lot of these delicious delights any time of the day!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Get ready lovelies, because you will love these cookies so much that I’m sure you will be making them more than just when it’s a birthday! My niece is turning 16 today, so to make the occasion, I have come up with a Funfetti birthday cake inspired cookies recipe that is going to blow the recipient away!
It’s time to sprinkle some e actual sprinkles and birthday magic in the kitchen with this simple recipe…
Ingredients
One Cup of Softened Unsalted Butter
One Cup of Icing or Powdered Sugar
One and a Half Cups of Plain Flour
1/4 Cup of Rainbow Coloured Sprinkles
Tools
One Baking Tray
Greaseproof Paper
One Large Mixing Bowl
A Mixing Spoon
Ice Cream or Cookie Scoop
Cooling Rack
Method
Start by preheating your oven to 175°C or 350°F, before greasing and lining your baking tray with greaseproof paper. Pop to one side.
Grabbing your mixing bowl, add the butter and sugar together, beating until light and fluffy.
When the butter and sugar is ready, gradually add in your flour, mixing together until a soft dough forms. Then fold in the sprinkles until they are evenly seen throughout.
Using either your hand, a mixing spoon or an ice cream/cookie scoop, roll out a tablespoon size of dough for each cookie and place onto the tray until it is full.
Leave about two inches between each one lovelies, as you will now need to press down lightly to flatten them a bit.
When ready, place into the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden. Once they look ready, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool on the sheet for a few minutes. Then move them to a cooling rack to cool completely or enjoy them warm!
These are great cookies to enjoy at any time of the year, but today I’m wishing and hoping that my niece can enjoy lots of these, as well as endless amounts of fun, love and presents! Happy Birthday Lucy!
