What I Got For My Birthday This Year!

00:00:00

A few weeks ago, I turned 29! It was a quiet affair, with only a few presents exchanged, as I really didn’t know what I wanted. However, for me, it is always the smallest gifts that mean the most and so I wanted to share what I got with you all! Find out what wonders I received from my family and friends here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Birthdays are not always a joyous time for me! I really struggle with the pressures of the day. I am definitely more of a Christmas person than a birthday one. We spent the day relaxing, playing games, watching films and TV shows, all from the comfort of my mum’s big bed.

We marked the whole thing with a Christmas dinner, before my mum presented a small, homemade cake, which she knew I wouldn’t eat, but made so that I could have some candles to blow out. She truly made the day super special!

I really struggle with knowing what presents I want, as I find that I still have the feelings that I don’t deserve them. So, my mum got me a few small gifts to unwrap, telling me that she would buy me something when I saw or knew of something. I hope you don’t mind but I wanted to share those gifts with you.

My mum and lovely neighbour treated me to the following…

Yankee Candle Sugared Blossom Candle: This candle was a gift from my lovely neighbour Casey and her family! Honestly, it smells lush. I love a candle all year round, but I’m going to save this one for those cosy Sunday afternoons in autumn, as it has that kind of smell to it.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel, £7.99: I haven’t had Soap & Glory products in years. However, my mum asked me to pick a luxury brand to be gifted from on my birthday. I adore this classic scent and wash that leaves my skin feeling so so soft.

Garnier Micellar Water Facial Cleanser For Sensitive Skin, £5.50: This was the face wash I used to use all the time. Then I turned to wipes. Wanting to reduce the amount of waste the wipes create, I asked for this to use again with reusable face pads. I can’t wait to put it to the test with them soon.

Soap & Glory Call Of Fruity Shower Gel, £7.99: When my mum asked me which Soap & Glory item I wanted I couldn’t pick. So, she went all out and did the three for two deal. This was the second one out of the trio and it smells of summer. I love a fruity smell, meaning this is right up my street.

Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 71 Perfume Mist, £24: Summer personified! I can’t get enough of the Sol De Janeiro range and this scent has gone right to the top of the list. I couldn’t pick a perfume for my mum to get me this year, so I asked for this instead and I’m so glad I did.

Soap & Glory Simply The Boost Body Wash, £7.99: The final wash from the trio was this one and I have to admit it is my favourite out of them. The refreshing rhubarb smell is perfect. I’m going to use this one last, just so I don’t waste any of it. Plus, the smell reminds me of the rhubarb crumble my mum makes in winter.

Barbie PJs and Eye Mask: Neither my mum or I were sure where these had come from, as she found them in her present cupboard. They are super soft and cosy, perfect for when the winter months arrive.

Hollister Sicily Jumper, £12.99: My dad was from Sicily and I absolutely love that about him. Having been lucky to visit it with him, I wear my heritage with pride. Especially in this jumper!

Primark Umbrella, £4.50: I love to go for walks in the rain, yet, the weather this year has ruined my umbrella. This dome shaped one will protect me so much better. I’m now hoping the rain will come so I can use it.

Asda Arrow Words Book, £2.90: Regularly, I ask my mum to pick me up a puzzle book if she can. She brought me my favourite kind for my big day. I can’t recommend the Asda puzzle books enough lovelies!

Barbie Knickers, £3: Is it even a celebration of some kind if you don’t get either socks or knickers. This year, my mum stuck with the Barbie theme and got me this stylish set.

I also treated myself to a few gifts, including the Good Fortune Viktor & Rolf perfume and some new LEGO sets. I will share them with you when they have arrived and I’ve made them!

I hope that if you have had a birthday recently that you had an incredible day with lots of sunshine and fun! And if you have one coming up, I wish you the same too!
