Celebrate My Birthday With This Super Easy Doughnut Recipe!

00:00:00

Tomorrow, I will be turning 29! To celebrate the occasion, I have come up with a super easy recipe for my favourite dessert, doughnuts, which takes hardly any time at all and only uses three ingredients! Affordable, fun and fabulously tasty, you will be making these again and again! The hardest bit will be deciding what sprinkles and icing to put on top!

Good Morning Lovelies,

As of tomorrow, I will officially be 29! One year away from 30! It’s been a tough old year with loads happening in it, however, I wanted to celebrate the last 12 months. For me, birthdays don’t mark age, they mark how lucky I am to have been able to go around the sun again. To get to spend more time with the people I love. To prove my illnesses wrong, as I’ve kept fighting to be here!

And because of that, I think we should all celebrate with my favourite dessert! Doughnuts! Whether you keep them plain, frost them or coat them in a gooey glazing and sprinkles, this three ingredient doughnut recipe is one to make again and again…

Ingredients

One Cup of Self-Raising Flour

One Cup of Greek Yogurt

Two Tablespoons of Sugar (Optional)

Tools

Large Mixing Bowl

Mixing Spoon

Baking Tray/Doughnut Tray

Greaseproof Paper

Method

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F or 190°C, before greasing and lining your baking or doughnut tray. Leave to one side.

Grab your mixing bowl and add the flour and yogurt, mix until well-combined into a dough. If the dough is sticky, add in a little more flour or if it is too dry, add in more yogurt. You can add your sugar in here too if using.

When the dough is ready, split the mixture into six to eight equally sized balls. Then using your finger, poke a hole in the middle of each ball and shape into a doughnut ring.

Place each doughnut onto your baking tray and pop into the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are golden brown in colour.

Once ready, enjoy warm or allow them to cool. You can also decorate them with your chosen topping! Simply enjoy lovelies!

What is your favourite doughnut lovelies? I have to say I love a powdered sugar jam doughnut! However, I hope you all celebrate my birthday with these delicious ring ones! One suggestion, dip them in runny honey! You won’t regret it!
