Special Ops Lionesses Review
00:00:00Whether you watch online or via the newly released home entertainment options, Special Ops: Lionesses is going to keep you gripped throughout all eight episodes. With a fantastic scenery, brilliant scripts and superb acting from some big names in the industry, find out why I think you should be viewing it here, as you are really not going to want to miss it…
Good Morning Lovelies,
With some huge names starting alongside each other, Special Ops: Lionesses, manages to grip you in. However, it fails to bring a complete sense of originality to it. Yet, this doesn’t make it any less enjoyable to view, whether it be on Paramount+ or home release.
Zoe Saldana, Morgan Freeman and Nicole Kidman are just some of the names starting in this series, about one young woman’s attempt to escape her brutal ex-boyfriend, by joining the CIA’s top secret Lionesses programme. Not all is as it seems though, as the women face endless problems, including partners who may end up being the criminals themselves.
Full of intriguing elements, such as that about tattoos, you find yourself learning a lot from the very first episode. The creators have spent a lot of time researching what actually occurs in war zones concerning women soldiers. However, it doesn’t always play out in a strong manner.
Thankfully, the cast are able to save the show from nosediving, with Saldana giving a powerhouse performance. The switch her character undertakes, from the battlefield to home life, shows an honest and raw transition people that plays out like a documentary more than a show.
Whilst the show isn’t 100% perfect, it manages to entertain, grip and bring with it a sense of rawness that others lack. It will keep you watching throughly from start to finish, as eight episodes are easy to binge. Add it to your must watch list now!
