Good Morning Lovelies,

We have done it! We have reached December and with it comes the best time of the year! Over the past few weeks, I have been listening to a fantastic podcast, which reminded me that during this month, I need to relax more. 

Instead of worrying about getting the house all ready, doing the food shop and organising parties and presents, I should enjoy the season. They’re so, I’ve decided that this December, I want to go back to being a little kid again. 

I want to go for walks in the winter weather, whilst looking at all the lights and decorations in the windows. I want to make presents instead of buying all of them. I would love to go to a Santa’s grotto and speak to Father Christmas. I want to snuggle up with my family and watch endless Christmas films. So, that is what I am going to do! 

Christmas was my dad’s favourite time of the year. He always said that he wanted us to all gather together again and be united at this time of year. Unfortunately, he never got to experience that again, but I do like to think that his funeral being held in December was his weird way of making us celebrate something together. All of us. 

Now, I have embodied his love of it. I am someone who remembers fondly sitting in his car singing Christmas songs with him. I remember him telling us to sing happy birthday to Jesus. I can remember him waking us up to open presents. Sitting at the head of the table during dinner. Giving us all the biggest hugs. These are all childhood memories that are even more magical now. Something that is encouraging me to be a child again even more. 

Okay, so this may seem a little bit rambled, but I wanted to start Blogmas by saying that you should just be you this December. Try not to worry if you don’t get it all done. Don’t pressure yourself to go to a party if you don’t want to. Can’t afford a big present, spend time making one or finding other ways to celebrate, it will mean so much more. 

Over the next month, I hope to celebrate with you all in a completely refreshing new way this year. I want to spend time relaxing, chilling and exploring Christmas again the way little Joey did. Get ready for a whole host of fun lovelies!
