Good Morning Lovelies,

There is something so magical about watching a film on the big screen. Yet, Christmas and the fact that a screening is being held at a palace makes it even more incredible. 

After a whole host of excitement, five of us headed to Kensington Palace to watch the Sky Cinema Original, The Amazing Maurice. Based on the best-selling book by Terry Pratchett, the film stars the voices of Hugh Laurie and Emilia Clarke, as they tell the story of Maurice, a cat who is more streetwise than the humans he meets.

When his friends, a gang of rats, try to get him to con a bookworm called Malicia, he finds though that everything he knows may not be true. Especially the con they had hoped to work. 

Upon arriving at Kensington Palace, there was a bright red carpet laid out, before guests were greeted by a festive party. Perfect after the invite stated that festive best was the dress-code. 

Taken further into the palace, Maurice was on hand to greet us all, with an exciting photo opportunity. Once the snaps had been captured, we were sat on comfy bean bags, filled up with classic cinema snacks and a lovely breakfast. 

After the film ended, we were asked our thoughts on it (absolutely fantastic!) and taken to have even more fun. Something that continued with a goodie bag to take home with us all. 

Even though December has only just begun, the film, event and overall atmosphere left us all feeling super special. There was an element of magic throughout the air. The film is due out on Sky Cinema on the 16th December. From watching it and seeing how the kids reacted, you will not want to miss it. It is honestly the perfect family feature to watch this year.
